Nice to see a video on this, a few things I'd add as I've played this a lot. Team Selection - Yes you are forced to start with Folkford at the start of the game, the *worst* team in the game. However you CAN change teams. Every so often in the paper you'll see job adverts for managers you can apply for. If your performance with Folkford is somewhat notable, you'll be able to get their chairman to call you and offer you a nice salary (You can refuse the first few offers for higher but don't push your luck). This has huge benefits like fresh new players with more potential and their accounts are likely not in the red. As time goes on you'll start receiving random job offers on the phone but these tend to be for crappy teams compared to you at that point. Only swap of the potential of the team is better than yours. For example if you joined a division 3 team and work them to division 1, sometimes you MIGHT want to swap to a lower division 1 team or even high division 2 as sorting them out will be better. The Paper/Gazette - You can read about your matches here and get hints about who is cocking up and who is dangerous. The Situations Vacant (Job Ads) page sometimes has manager listnigs you can apply for, if you are successful they will call you otherwise you'll get a letter of rejection.. The snippets page you might want to check every so often as sometimes your players will leak greivances there, or they will just make up random bollocks. Calculator - You can request a change to your overdraft (Required sometimes for Folkford to avoid going over) as well as change gate prices Training - This is where the game is won and lost. There is a specific training schedule that can allow you a high degree of wins most of the time. It goes for ALL players from monday, Skipping, Sprinting, Gym Circuit. Then for each position on thursday. Goalkeeper - Set Pieces, Defenders - Marking, Midfielders - Dribbling, Attackers - Shooting, with rest on friday. Then every week for all players just change Gym Circuit to Aerobics and then back again(If you don't make at least 1 change per week on training the chairman gives you a bollocking and multiple of these gets you fired)

Yaassssss!! Ive been trying to find this for nearly 3 decades!! If i remember correctly, you get more involved with biggs and sabien, eventually try for the crown jewels. I seem to remember going on 'gardening leave ', but have no clue how it ends. It would fill me with great joy if you completed this holiest of 90s grails 🙏😅

One of the thing's I loved about this game as a kid was drinking the tea and the sound. I didn't drink my tea for a bit on it and I'm sure I got a snotty message saying about me not drinking my tea 🤣🤣 I'm not 100% sure if this is it but can you over water your plant and kill it or not water it at all and kill it? I might be wrong but these thing's really do ring a bell. The Amiga was an awesome along with what I had before it which was the Spectrum 2 with the tape compartment integrated with the keyboard. Such awesome computers 🤘🤘
