I wonder why they named it Centurion 14 or Alpha 14? Do you think maybe because the original Hi Power was a 13 + 1 capacity ?

John Browning invented the 1893 action design and winchester started shaping to a gun ready for mass production and it released as the Winchester model 1893 and in 1896 it went back to the drawing board and it was released in 1897 as the model 1897 but its the same action design just with a few upgrades over the 93.....John Browning made working proto types and Winchester perfected them and made them ready for mass production.

I was broke working a night watching job in the middle of no where. I couldn't afford a good handgun at the time so 75 bucks bought me one of these used stainless in 9mm 13 shot if I remember correctly? Had a snapped/nasty recoil with +p loads but it was deadly accurate! Absolutely unbelievable. A few years later on when I could afford a good firearm I bought a tricked out glock model 20 10mm and a ruger S9 . The ruger shot as good as the old Jennings but the glock would not?

Ring of fire gun- they were made as a reaction to the gun control act of 1968. Small pistols were not allowed to be imported, so several companies started up- the companies kept getting sued so they just closed, changed the name, and reopened as another brand, they’re not quality at all. But an important part of history. There are a couple very in depth videos on KZbin on the ring of fire guns on california. I had a Phoenix Arms 25 ACP for a while, which was the precursor to this guy

Just bought an m9 and surprise !! Plastic trigger! Why beretta why!? Who thought it would be wise to put a plastic trigger on an all steel frame gun. Also plastic guide rod. Just looking at this gives me anxiety there’s no way I can take this apart and put it back together the same way. Incredibly disappointed with beretta, way to cut corners in the worst possible way, I know it’s a small thing to overlook but it feels terrible with that flimsy plastic that feels like it’s about to snap. Never buying anything beretta again this used to be my favorite gun but hoping the sig sauer p226 won’t disappoint me as much as this one. But thank you for posting this it gave me an idea of what I was in for.
@ThrowingCopperCRA-202214 күн бұрын
If you like the pistol don't be put off by the plastic trigger. Have a steel one installed. Surely there must be a smith close by that can do it for.
@AnatoliMironov14 күн бұрын
@ I found one close by, I already ordered the steel parts and I’ll have it done professionally. I can’t quite tell if the safety switch is plastic or metal, lot of polymer on the new 92fs, I used to own a few back in the day and don’t remember any polymer besides the grips. Personally, polymer is fine on something like a Glock but I feel like people go for the berettas because they want the feel of an all metal firearm.

I have a 742 that was in storage for many years. Unfortunately it had grown some rust spots in the.receiver area (thin metal but no pressure) there was also light rust in some areas on the barrel. I stripped it down to parade rest. It appears that the blueing was not true. So for a rifle that has less than 40 rounds through it I decided to give it some new skin. Just need to take her out for some test rounds.

There's a good chance the wood is birch. Birch often gives the uneven results shown when stained. If you want that look, you got it. If you want a more even color, try a wood conditioner before staining or use a gel stain. There's probably other options, too.

Do you know how to remove the flex system off the receiver so I can install mapul stock?
@ThrowingCopperCRA-202220 күн бұрын
You have to disassemble the takedown pin that holds the removable stock/pistol grip assembly in. Once that pin is out, the bolt that holds the stub onto the receiver will be accessibly.
