Thank you for your comment. I should have used the expression old Tyre instead of just Tyre. Because the city Ezekiel was talking about is what is called old Tyre today. It is true that there are thousands of people living on the present peninsula that was the island and causeway (that Alexander built). But old Tyre which was built on the main land is so completely desolated that we cannot even determine the site of the ancient city with any certainty. In addition to this, Ezekiel’s prophecy was against the city of his day in its ancient glory and culture and that civilization and culture was completely destroyed. If a modern building were to be built on the ancient city (remember we don’t know where the original site was) this modern building would not be a revival of the ancient culture and civilization of the Tyre which has not existed for thousands of years.

A cross happens when following the Lord's way conflicts with the way you want to go. Said another way it is choosing to deny yourself of sinful pleasures or what is wrong.

However, God was quite clear when He stated that the ruins of Tyre would be "as the top of rock." It is obvious to take from this that the ruins of the old Tyre are difficult to find because of how devastating was its destruction. We may not know with pin point accuracy where lay the exact place of old Tyre, but God knows, and that is enough for me!

Only the misinformed say that. We have over5,000 Greek manuscripts and parts of manuscripts that we can compare and we find that it's the same as what we have today. It shows that it was copied accurately over the centuries but people don't realize that so they continue to incorrectly say it has been changed when that statement can be easily proven wrong. Not to mention all the copies we have of the Dead Sea Scrolls. We actually have more manuscripts of the Bible than we do of any other ancient books in existence.

There’s many different translations and although they use different words the message is kept consistent. We have access to ancient manuscripts that you can compare with todays bibles and it’s 99.99% the same. Jesus died, was buried, and rose on the third day. If you repent and believe in Him you will not perish but have everlasting life . ❤

There are more manuscripts by far of the Bible than any other ancient manuscript. These manuscripts show that the Bible we have today is consistent with the ancient manuscripts.

Indeed, few of those that believe will be saved. So then how would you proceed to examine a believer? The bible is for the child of God. Paul said; All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. But what of those sure they are saved? Sure, they are of the adoption? Those that read scripture, convinced of their part in it, but who are not His children. Who can read the words but only come away from what they read with human wisdom, not able to comprehend the Spiritual there in? How will they examine their part if any in the kingdom? What if you are in fact a believer with dead faith? How would you know? James said faith without works is dead? What was he referring to? Shouldn’t every Christian know? Paul spoke of the gift of faith? If a gift, how is it received? If you examined yourself, what have you discovered about these things?
