Not all New Yorkers can hear this. We were lucky for a while. to hear these musicians playing for change, and got a concert level performance.

Absolutely AMAZING guys!! I love the original but this is right up there too. I’m listening from London and I can’t believe New Yorkers can hear this great music while walking down the street. Thanks for keeping this great musical tradition alive. Fantastic!

Totally silly and ridiculous while staring into the fucking abyss at the same time. Unbelievable performances - the last 20 seconds of this is a childish joke and a proper panic attack simultaneously - horrific, but weirdly beautiful and compassionate music. Like a shark laughing at you

Busking sucks, not enough appreciation, get into some tuxes and on the stage where you guys belong, no more 'charity' gigs. Any manager worth his salt would have grabbed you guys by now. Oh, please come to Ireland at some stage, we will adore you!!

The Song turned out to be "So What if I Couldn't Take it" which ended up on "A Turn in the Dream Songs" album ... Although I think "Work in Progress" works in a weird kind of way. p.s. - Thanks for posting.

The amber lady seated at her harpsichord in velvet Room of eastern wonder Gazing through the verdant window Wrapped in arms of silk and sorrow. Rebecca sighs and perishes beneath the harp Leila, Leila, she loves anon On high fields of cinder sun. I see you drifting draped in heavy lace Where is this place where you stand radiant? Your hand hides the moon And you move with crystal grace. Rebecca sighs and perishes beneath the harp Leila, Leila, she loves anon On high fields of cinder sun. Mmmm ... Stain-glass showering, diamond morning Soft smiling in the shining hours Boughs of henna in your hair Roses in your silent garden. Rebecca sighs and perishes beneath the harp Leila, Leila, she loves anon On high fields of cinder sun.

Not sure how long ago this concert was, but this incredibly hard-working artist recently published yet another album entitled "Lifetime Achievement" at the young age of 75. He came out with an album of covers of old classics not so long ago and like he always has, the man keeps making new music and his voice is better than ever. He hasn't lost a step in the songwriting category either. Like I always say, "Loudon's new album is his best one yet". And man, I mean it. He puts to shame the guys I've seen who keep playing the half dozen good songs they wrote in the 60's or 70's and getting paid to do it. Loudon Wainwright III has earned his money and every bit of fame he has.
