Your technique and artistry are wonderful. But the most appealing thing about this performance is how much you are on-the-beat of the music. So many dancers are off the rhythm of the music. Watching dancers move out of sync with obvious and strong rhythms is so distracting, no matter how talented they are. You did so well with your musicality. It made your performance "next level" and definitely "world class." Beautifully done!

I was browsing through YAGP videos and came across her 2015 performance. The musicality and artistry set her apart from other young dancers who are focused on just technique. Her dancing is so fluid and musical… reminds me of Marianela. I’ll be rooting for you!!! Might even visit SF to see her perform.

SFB repertoire is becoming less classical and less American. The entire 2024/25 season is very Eurocentric. Mostly British ballets with some Dutch/Belgian ones thrown in for the semblance of a balanced programming . No Balanchine, Robbins, Ratmansky, Morris, Forsythe or Peck. Nothing by the choreographer-in-residence Yuri Possokhov. Not a single tutu ballet. SFB is the only American ballet company that hasn’t programmed any Balanchine ballet for its upcoming season. How sad.

@@neyfonsecajunior Programming Wheeldon, McGregor, Scarlett and Van Manen is hardly mold breaking. Wake me up when Tamara programs Gerald Arpino, Ulysses Dove, Agnes de Mille, Maurice Bejart or Roland Petit. Or something created outside of the 100 miles radius from London. It remains to be seen if SF has enough anglophiles to put bums on 3200 seats of the Opera House. If the last season is any indication there’ll be even more discounted and rush tickets.

Also, I think the powers that be at SFB wouldn't have hired her if they were looking for the same kind of programming which is seen in all the Balanchine focussed companies throughout the US. This is only her second season, so give her a chance.
