To be fair, list MPs do do things: if you live in a blue electorate, for example, and you don't think the local Nat electorate MP will be very sympathetic to your beef with MSD, there will be a list MP who covers consults with residents from a left leaning party (and vice versa).

Commenting as someone with a mortgage - Many due to interest rate changes are having to pay an extra 200 a week. Charging 60 of that to a tenant can be the difference between keeping the house or selling it. Not to mention the insane insurance price rises over the past 3 years. I do agree the landlords didnt need any more tax breaks though. Everyone i have talked to said they would rather the 20 a week go into health services because as you say its F all really.
