choice to try to keep her inside, comfortable, feed and enclosed or free and starve or freeze. I chose to allow her the natural life and death that she was born to have, instead of trying to prolong her life and kept in a cage. I hope she is still alive and well.

Why did you not put primer or glue on the pipe you only put primer and glue in the fitting and aren't you supposed to apply the primer just before the glue just before you put the joints together

All I can say is that this video is 8 years old and I can only go by what you said, if I did do it that way all I can say is this. Although I can't be 100% sure that one isn't one that is still buried, or it is one of them I have in storage. They all were made the same and al the ones in storage are still perfectly good and usable. Several of them were ones I dug up as well. In the end all I can say is they have all, to my knowledge, worked fantastic.

Looks like same grinder I used about 60 years ago. My mom just had me grind the leftover ham, some pickles and a slice of bread to clear out the grinder. I think we only put mayo in it after that. Our school lunch program had ham salad sandwiches several times a week as a bonus to the regular 35 cent lunch meal being offered.

I only have a few left, several I can't find anymore and several I lost due to an area being developed. A couple that was very far from home I have no clue anymore. I can't drive to them and honestly, this long from my experience with the closer ones even if the area is undeveloped, I don't think area would be the same, or at least not like my notes anymore. I have thought about doing several more, I am sure that the time is nearing when we very well will need them. But it would take a lot of effort and money to redo even a handful of them. I don't know if it is worth the time, effort and cost to try to squirrel away a few weeks of food and some gear. I, for sure, won't go outside my area where I live again. Can't keep track and difficult to get to. Honestly, if I do I think I might do one or two totes of gear and food in an area that I am sure won't get developed and if we are still "free" in 5 years or so, go dig them all up and forget about it. By then I'll be too old to even care anymore, I think.

again, playing it and learning more the blocking off the edges won't work either. the "exit" for the king acts like a piece for the king and the enemy gets trapped by placing a piece on other side and then removed. Not a good game plan.

after playing this game for some time I found that the all four side version isn't so fun after all. It is near impossible to do that. I go with the two side and it makes a much more even and fun game.

@cagedraptor
@cagedraptor 20 күн бұрын
You could be very right on that point, but then that misses the entire point of the project. it is not about buying a broom or a much better one. Part of the intent for the project was to make it myself and using it to disperse actual dirt isn't the true purpose for them. You could consider them as holiday decorations if you will. The most easy and mundane way to describe them. I, however, do apricate the time and effort you chose to invest in your comment. A truly helpful and good choice or alternative to spending time and effort into making one. It truly is the modern way to go.

Birds don't perceive astringency and also don't have crushing molars that destroy seeds. Naturally a lot of plants have astringent fruits suited for consumption by birds so that their seeds can be distributed. It's at least plausible that you could fix Callery pears, both in terms of texture and astringency, by cooking them or making some jelly out of them or something. Seems like more trouble than it would be worth, much like trying to make jelly out of wild black cherry (Prunus serotina).

What you have there is not an Amanita Muscaria (having scales on the cap) that sometimes in confused with the parasol when they are young. The you are referring to is the Chlorophyllum molybdites. It looks like the parasol mushroom but develops greenish tinted gills and has a vulva or sac like encasement at the bottom and has a bulging base. as it gets older and it is toxic. The Parasol mushroom has a more uniform stalk and stays white gilled even when mature. The one you are holding on your porch appear son camera at least to be turning greenish. I am not expert and no one should take anyone's word for an edible unless you have done extensive and I mean extensive multiple characteristic checks with a key t determine edible vs toxic. I took classes way back in college and know enough to leave certain mushrooms alone and like you there are only a select few i will even eat. You can freeze dry it in your freezer for about 6 months and it should be reserved. You can collect the mature mushrooms and put the caps in a bucket of water for a day or so to get the spore and then pour it on your lawn and you will have a good chance of getting a start. Just don't use weed killers as it is detrimental to the mycelium.

it has been about 8 years since I have seen this, I would have to re-watch, but I bet I still am as ODF and maybe even a bit further out dair flapp'n now than I was then. I'll rewatch that series and think about redoing them as I see things today.
@cagedraptor
@cagedraptor Ай бұрын
Ok, just watched the video. I can say the only thing that has changed for me is that now I do not believe in the idea of right and wrong, good or bad. I now view those concepts as things those who desire to control me say to maintain control. the three biggest "powers" of control are Society, Government and Religion. Just about everything those three groups say and do is only to control others. I now decide what I think is right and wrong, good or bad for myself, if there is a such thing. But I still won't shoot someone just because I want to, that has not changed. The idea of good and bad, right and wrong is something that I have dwelled on over the last few years and I think, for me, I have come to a profound realization. But it is way too complex to talk about in a comment of a video.
