When you think about it, a U boat can only dive 3 times it’s own length. Which when you think about it is not that deep is it. 230M is about 750ft. There is 5,280 ft in a mile, so that’s only a 6th of a mile when put in context. A modern sun can go approximately 900M 2,500 ft. So if you were looking at a WWII submarine on land, you could see it easily from 759 ft. Just thinking out aloud. 🤔
