Went to Northumberland street this week. Fenwicks window was compared to those we remember was really poor. What's happened to the lovely music and moving figures.

Bring back Gulliver, a real spectacle from the 80s. Going from that to this is going from 3d technicolour to 2d minimalism. Maybe it has some “artistic merit “, but its a weak visual concept, sparse in content, colour and movement. In short, it looks cheap, and even worse, it’s boring.

What has happened to fenwicks. The cardboard cutouts look awful. I appreciate it costs money to do a big display but do it properly or don’t bother

Well it's not bad but it could of been better but there u go. I suppose u can't please everyone eh. lol. 🤣 By the way I'm surprised they let Santa Claus say "hello boys and girls"(at 9:53) in this woke day and age, but I'm pleased that he did for the kids sake. So I suppose it's kind of a satisfactory Fenwick's window this year, but hopefully Fenwick's can do a lot better from 2024 onwards. Happy early Christmas folks. 🎅🎄🧑‍🎄❄ Oh and a happy new year as well...almost forgot. lol 🍾🍾🥂🥂🤣🤣

I was a bit concerned that Fenwick were using cardboard cutouts for a second year running, but having seen the window in person today I can sadly confirm that it looks really poor. The actual viewing windows for each scene are small and the displays look very drab and lifeless. Such a regression from the great animatronic windows of the past, easily the worst Fenwick window display I’ve ever seen. Seems like the budget for them has been seriously cut.

Wow what a total let down this year

Absolutely FANTASTIC! What a wonderful idea for your windows. I always loved this story as a child. My late dad read it to my sister & I and had a distinct voice for each character! He was just about to record himself reading the book for our children when he suddenly died from a brain hemorrhage. Thank you Fenwick for continuing this wonderful tradition of revealing Christmas windows ~a Canadian fan

I wonder if there will be a display next Christmas? The store frontage is being redesigned akin to M&S further up the street. So more doorways and less window space.
