Thanks for the tip. Garfield didn't feel like hopping in his carrier today so I looked online and found your video. It worked 🎉 Cheers 😊

Well..that beauty you are using as a model isn't exactly a fussy cat..the one i have to put in the carrier doesn't let you pick her up and will bite and scratch if i try to pick her up..problem number one is how to grab her before she bolts away..🤔🤦♀️ I need an elephant tranquilizer dart..😬

My cats obliterate the carpet that comes on most cat furniture, what's a good alternative that's also easy to clean?

If that's a fussy cat then mine must be a Tasmanian devil.

Thank you soooo much for these videos!!! I have a 4 yr old tree that had the fake fur. I have been looking so long for a tutorial on how to put carpet on it. So many bad videos out there….. but not yours! It gives me the confidence and knowledge to try it for myself. Bless you!!! My cats will be so happy to have real furniture!!!

Ok so this video has been up for 7 months, and I wanted to watch it just now to remind myself of how this video came together, as I have further advanced the build quality of my OWN scratching posts by now, and wanted to share this video with my clients. I was today-years-old when I noticed the video ends but keeps going with a blank screen and music for a few minutes... D'oh! No one said anything.

Oh for sure. I had been thinking of doing one just for a round perch! I just have a lot of things on the go lately that I didn't have time to film..

I have a ragdoll he's one year old and already 6kg. I'm struggling to find a tree strong enough for him :) I will give it a go building one of my own. I'd order one of yours but i'm in Australia. Thank you for the video, I enjoy your humor!

Your catio is looking good. Also, I've never done tinfoil for cat toys. Excellent advice.
@purroductscentral Жыл бұрын
Irresistible to cats because the toy can be flicked across the room and they make a specific sound that drives cats crazy. Unfortunately it comes with a safety issue.....

Appreciate the tip to put the post screws in at different angles for stability. Great cat tree design!
@purroductscentral Жыл бұрын
The technique really works well on my scratching posts! Rock solid long after the cats have completely decimated the carpet or rope (at which time I recover them)...

Great video. I’m curious about what carpet works best for cat trees? What do you use? Where do you find it at?
@purroductscentral Жыл бұрын
Great question. I just use regular or long pile carpet (not berber, the closed loop stuff). While it CAN get a bit messy with the more aggressive cats (bits of carpet everywhere), it just comes down to a quick hit with the vacuum and the mess is gone! I buy cutoffs from a few different local carpet stores. Ironically, End Of The Roll isn't the cheapest option (the title would sort of imply otherwise). I only shop at the carpet places that openly display cutoff rolls, which range from $30 to $180 on average (5'x8' to 12'x12' rolls). I try to stock a variety but in the past couple years it's been various shades of grey with the occasional brown variant. I make sure I have a roll of beige as some people have requested it! My favourite is always charcoal, if available. It just looks so sharp and modern compared with the store bought cat trees colours..

You have very good information to impart. Unfortunately, it's interspersed with obnoxiously loud music and moronic video clips. Just do a regular tutorial video. No need for unprofessional crap.

Sometimes you have to work with what ya got! Like the "no power" bit, which wasn't planned and could have easily been edited out, but I decided to turn it into a gag.
I mean, there's no law that states you have to get a cat before getting them a tree or scratching post! lol. When confronted with the question, "Should we get a cat?" The answer should definitely be yes. But I'm biased..

You may have noticed in a previous video that the logo tiles were tinted a blue-green colour. I'm actually using those up and not doing that anymore, as I feel the tint clashes with the existing contrast between the logo and the wewd!

As I get better at doing videos like these, I will get a bit more in depth with how these toys might work in the real world by actually fastening them to a cat tree.
@purroductscentral2 жыл бұрын
In case you are wondering, I did not have the rest of the cat tree to demonstrate the actual wobble. However, in future videos I will be able to rig something up to show what that might look like!
