Way I interpret this: A killer kills a woman (or man, a lover, either way), and he is sent to an (guess) Asylum, as he is inside, he hallucinates the lover (death's images), but he dreads going to sleep, dreaming his vivid dreams of his lover going cold in his arms, and feeling the blood run down the knife onto his hand. And all he can think about is that he will eventually be executed and join his lover in the afterlife. But he secretly knows that there is no afterlife and his endless, dragging death sentence will only end in two corpses. It's not fair, they tell him it is, but it is not, there will be no fairness, it is the human condition, we kill, we are killed, the circle of life... Happy Christmas, by the way...

Breeze Ark I think it has no back story. It is a psychologicsl song about dealing with supressed problems. Or at least I see it that way. There is not one definite way of understanding this song
