Roy character arc is him slowly but surely securing his place as a diamond dog and then the last episode he just yanked the band aid right off

They completely ruined this show with its woke bollocks made it come across completely disingenuous and trying to please modern audiences

Well, it took nearly 20 years, but I'm taking away my personal crown of "best series finale ever" from Six Feet Under and giving it to Ted Lasso.

The actor who plays Isaac, Kola Bokinni, really is so subtle here--superb work.

I’m so happy beard got more screen time and basically became the secondary protagonist of this show, the one thing season 1 needed was more beard

I love the little non verbal moments between Roy and Trent here. They've only just made up earlier that day but Roy knows Trent will be honest about a game he played years earlier.

Part of the brilliance of this show, is that none of these actors were mega stars, or as Jason put it 'big fish', at the beginning. And through their writing, directing, acting, the production introduced us to so many wonderful, talented actors and characters - they allowed the whole cast to shine. Love this show.

One objection: The Dutch were absolute favorites in the World Cup final - the Germans were the underdogs. And the game started exactly as predicted, until the Netherlands were in the lead and started getting arrogant, trying to humiliate the opponent. The Germans got angry, the Dutch lost intensity and momentum, the rest is history.

As silly as the transition is from Ted playing damage control to talking about a hallmark Christmas movie is, there’s also something that i loved about it. Yes, Ted is frustrated with Roy, so much so that he is somewhat curt with him. That could be interpreted as something personal towards Roy. That said, Ted addresses Roy’s question with the Hallmark description. Just showing that this frustration that Ted is feeling towards Roy? It’s not personal. It’s for the common good of the team, and he just needs Roy to realize it. Small detail, but great one all the same

This scene is so powerful... makes want to freaking cry almost every time. Football is not owned by some fat rats sitting on their chairs laughing at us while taking away all our money.... it belongs to us, to the fans, who love our clubs, an eternal love that starts from the very first moment and will last until the end of our lives.

Watching a his scene back; and feels like a perfect culmination and satisfying culmination of so many arcs. Nate’s false 9 and having strikers dropping deep perfectly wrapped up with Jaimie wanting to drop deep. Jaime’s own arc with him no longer wanting to be the best player on the team and rather just one of many good attackers. Very Harry Kane-esque. He no longer is insecure over Rojas being on the team and the happy to create chances instead, draw defenses out and be a decoy. Roy is a successful coach with one of his closer players growing in their play style and attitude. For Ted, it’s the first time we see him take the lead on tactics and it works wonders. No longer leaving it to his coaching staff. Vindication for Trent since he wrote about the Ted Lasso way. Not only is his commitment to players vindicated. But there’s a Bonafide tactic too.

Surely surely there's enough story left in the characters to take on a National league side (maybe Welsh) and make them better? Or take football up a level in the US?
