I believe it was so they could be improved on. They are returning next update if I remember correctly.

@@shatterdarkness3567 Pretty soon they will be coming. Dark Sonic is already added back and you have to find a dark orb by searching very hard

You had to pay for Dark Form. I'm not sure if you can get it anymore.

You can get dark now, I think. There are dark orbs during thunderstorms but are incredibly rare. @@SkippySpoopy

I personally prefer Friday Night Bloxxin' as it's very iPad friendly with the charting :) (Also it's one of the only songs where I actually have more skill than you on as I'm not just blindly spamming I always try hitting every note)
