are infiltrator presets included in patreon?
@Knaps_26 күн бұрын
I've only made a dozen or so but if you're interested I could post them! They are all pretty similar though, just a bunch of randomized S&H style LFO's... nothing too special. I do have a plugdata project I want to post at some point that does the same thing but it has more effects than infiltrator so if I get around to posting that I would say its better value.
@smulsesong285226 күн бұрын
@@Knaps_ Looking forward to it! Would def subscribe if it included custom presets, effect racks etc
@Knaps_26 күн бұрын
@@smulsesong2852 Absolutely! I was planning on doing all that + samples I make, I might as well upload the vital + infiltrator presets, hopefully by tomorrow, I just have to sort through some of the garbage in my vital folder lol. But I really want to stress that they might be disappointing because I'm mainly focused on Plugdata at this moment, and I dont save a lot of the infiltrator/vital stuff I made in the past I just use it in one project and then never again... so I would highly recommend if you are going to pay to look into plugdata first because you will get 100x more value if you use it!

Great job! I've been attempting to produce sounds using Vital, but my busy schedule and limited knowledge of wavetables make it challenging for me to use it frequently. However, I have experimented with it in the past, and it's undoubtedly a potent tool.

I'm guessing you and I share the similar frustration of artists not releasing their raw files so we can steal and learn techniques from them lmao you should try modelling an analog camera in blender, or just copying one someone else made, it would make those pngs pop out and would simultaneously hide inconsistencies, just process it like an actual photo after with denoising in photoshop or whatnot
@Knaps_ Жыл бұрын
hmm I wouldn't say its frustration I just think its purely beneficial? TBH it's party self serving in so far as it gives people, even those who don't want the file, a positive impression. Also anybody who does decide to use the resources I provide is propagating my material/creating a chain that leads back to me (however indirect it may be). On top of all that I just think its a nice thing to do and people benefiting from access to my material makes me happy (also somewhat self serving ig lol). It just seems so obvious help others and help yourself at the same time. As a general principle I like free/open source software and I figure I can sort of contribute to that by giving free access to what I make. I've seen some stuff about analogue cameras in blender but tbqh theres like 50 things I want to improve before I would start worrying about subtleties like that, especially when I can just do post processing in gimp or resolve to get lens distortion, aberration, grain etc. Maybe some day though!
@DR-54 Жыл бұрын
@@Knaps_ the nice thing about analog cameras in blender is that it does a lot of the processing and detail hiding for you in a more realistic way, but it is a pretty complicated journey to make it work though tbf. I personally find copyright law stupid especially since it makes no sense for it to exist outside of commercial protections. I feel if a direct copy or what is functionally a direct copy of a work is properly attributed, the distribution isn't a big deal (piracy doesn't really drop sales at all, it seems people will still buy creative works if they like it even if they originally pirated it, it can boost sales as a result). As a result, basically everything I've ever produced artistically has free distribution and sampling is heavily encouraged, with the only thing in the CC being attribution. It's purely beneficial for people to know how things were made and to have access to the same tools as you do. Piracy of music software has had a bigger impact than any individual music software has on modern music culture by giving people access to the tools they need and the resources they need to make new products. I don't understand why most artists don't even sell their masters, let alone give it out for free. The master is oftentimes just entirely inaccessible outside of the music industry, and so if you're not in the music industry but produce music, you don't have the power or funds to actually get access to the vast majority of masters even though, as we both agree, it's massively beneficial for that to be accessible.
