This bit around 8:40 is horrible - the guy just comes off as so incredibly full of himself.

Not just thousands of case histories - but thousands of COMPUTERIZED case histories. Because... that makes a difference, apparently. God, the whole treatment of computers during this era was just so completely ridiculous - like they were magic or something. You'd have thought aliens had landed or something. It hasn't really gotten better - movies still teach the public that computers are far, far more than they ever actually will be. The worst case offender was probably Johnny Depp's "Transcendence." Oh - a computer's involved, so this guy can of course basically become a god. Completely ridiculous.

I sure wish the whole series was here in this playlist. When I saw the playlist title I was hopeful, but... no. I've never seen this movie, though, so that will be fun at least. My memories are all of the Gary Collins episodes.

I first saw this show (1974/75) when I was 12/13 years old. I am very fond of Poe's tales so this is why this episode was so unforgettable. I am from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
