Not a fan of the molds. I either like wax melts that look like a bar of chocolate and easy to break off and also cut if I want to use like 1.5. Or if it’s gourmand wax melts to look novelty and like the food itself. But preferably breakable chocolate bar.

I am happy I found you! Watching thru all of your vids. I think you mentioned working w/ soy. That is what I am currently doing and I have added 2% beeswax to help. I still have issues w/ cooling and sink holes some. I like the idea of the heat gun but the darkening of the wicks and the swirl that's left behind drives me nuts. Did you have those same issues? Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

I love this! I used to sell houseplants and now I’m doing candles 😆 I love all the philodendrons and anthuriums! I also LOVE Hoya!!! I have one that smells like chocolate when it blooms.

Yes one on one is a really good idea, but don’t close the business, you have and are working so hard with it, but yes scale down amount of products, more focus on wholesale is good idea

You’re correct, the market is saturated. But, this is where your marketing comes into play. I’ll host 2 launch parties.mine in July and one in Sep. the July launch will tell me what scents I need to add for September…since my goal is to launch Oct 2024. The one thing I can offer newbies is to stick to a handful of scents and add as your knowledge and customer base grows.

Etsy has done nothing for me. I’ve followed all the advice and I’ve had 10 sales in 7 months

This year lots of candle businesses in the UK are failing, saturation and recession is hitting hard.

I have done etsy for ie 3 yrs. And it has gotten awful and so many gwtting handmade shops shut down for no obvious reasons yet drop shippers and resellers are all over the place. 🫤
