do you have a footprint groundsheet down underneath the tent ? and is there water siting on the footprint groundsheet around the beam areas? which weathermaster tent do you have?

They're so that the rear vents can be accessed from inside the tent

The tent groundsheet covers the whole of the tent so goes under the inner bedroom, so you can remove the bedroom. pack size of the tent is approx 81 x 51 x 43cm

Hi There is a chance that you may get a small amount of gas out but it doesn't happen until the bottle is nearly tight on the valve and it wont be very much, you do need to be careful that you tread the bottle on the valve properly and that you don't cross tread it as that could lead to the valve not sealing on the bottle correctly.

They're designed to add stability to the tent, ideal on windy days when you're going out or overnight when you're not walking around. When you're in the tent, you can easily undo them and pop them inside the pockets provided. Or don't use them at all - up to you :)

Yes it could stay rolled out uninflated but you just need to be aware that you don't want the mat stored for too long in an un-ventilated area as it could get damp with condensation etc

unfortunately we find that most manufactures use the same sort of design for ease of manufacturing and making the most out of the space.

Our gas locker was fitted when we had the van converted, most Conversion companies supply similar lockers.

I would probably have to say that you would need to make a decision on which tent suits your needs better with regard to layouts, as the Kalahari is a great tent but a lot bigger than the Anantara

@@Outaboutuk it's only bigger by having the 2 side pods? Dimensions of tent they are virtually identical (50mm wider) and adding the awning/extension again (100mm longer) So, I guess what matters to me is build quality, darkness of bedrooms, bedroom size, accessories (and availability) layout pros/cons? What I didn't really like about the Anantara front is how the mesh is before the PVC so you'll always be staring through mesh?

@@charlesmilligan1416 yes Both Tent bodies are a very similar size, the Kalahari has the two pods on each side which aren't removable and add another 145cm to each side of the tent making it nearly 3m wider than the Anantara. The build quality of the tents are very similar and both offer some good features. the Kalahari has the additional pods already attached to the tent, and there are additional pods available for the Anantara as extra's. Both tents have darkened bedrooms but not black out bedrooms. and the there is only about 7kg difference in weight, but the vango tent has a slightly smaller pack size. the Outdoor revolution one does have a exclusive Lifetime Guarantee on the air frame tubes. both tents have carpets and footprints available and We have both tents available for purchase. if you would like any further information then our email address is [email protected]

@@charlesmilligan1416 In my opinion in terms of quality of fabric there isn't much between the two brands, I would more advise what layout works for you best and pack size and weight, As far as I can see there isn't a sun wing available for the kalahari its only available for the Ozone 6.0 safari, the front porch extension does fit the Kalahari 7pc and 9pc.

Yes we use the pizza box outabout.uk/product/vango-camp-chef-pizza-oven/ It heats up really quickly and gives the pizza a crispy base. Also great for cooking fish (wrapped in foil)

Sorry to hear you are unhappy with your tent. Unfortunately all tents are prone to damage. We spend a lot of time with customers over the season who have issues with tents of all makes. Poled tents suffer from broken poles, just as air tents can suffer from broken air tubes. I guess you have to weigh up the convenience of air compared to the cost of poles. We would always advise someone takes a spare tube with them, especially if they are going overseas or somewhere remote.

The tent is good in strong winds as long as you have pegged and guy lined it out correctly but they do have a limit, air tents are designed to bend and flex in strong winds, but if the conditions exceed what is sensible for a tent to be pitched in then we would recommend taking down until the winds have passed.

There are just some subtle differences with the way the windows are shaped, the curtains on the Valdes are toggled up and not zipped and the guylines are slightly different.
