Front looks way better than stock, but I still hate the giant front end of the new one (not your fault.) There is a mod to put the new Sequoia grill on this, and that is the only look I have actually fully loved on this truck.

Re-gear and clearance for the body yes. Suspension lift no, not a requirement. What would be beneficial are control arms that push the wheel hubs forward.

"Not a rock crawler.." its definitely the poor mans budget crawler build. Plenty of travel in the front and the rear. Smooth over rocks on trail and smooth potholes around down. I run toytec superflex HDs in the rear.

There is literally not a single video about running 6112s with b12 front coils. 650lbs springs seem to be the general consensus for a good upgrade with armor and skids. However, no video discusses that addition to the 6112s..... hoping to have my b12s installed tomorrow. I'll have to make a video about it.
@mtnyotas4 күн бұрын
We do it all the time but only if we add the weight of a bumper/winch to the front... there's no sense in running a heavier load spring without a heavier load on those shocks.
@JChurchua4 күн бұрын
@mtnyotas Yep, thats good point. With alil weight the b12 springs ride great. Glad I had a chance to install them this weekend. With the fuel tank skid, sliders im about to install and the full skid it has already; this should support the weight very well.

How much?
@boda43398 күн бұрын
150 an hour?!!!!
@mtnyotas4 күн бұрын
It's $185/hr now... dealership is over $200 an hour, we do custom fab work that requires more skill and talent than dealers too.
@jimcatanzaro78088 күн бұрын
Best cheaper option is the 5100 and 887 ome spring in the front u get a nice 2 inch lift with a great ride better then factory

I am solid axle swapping a Ford ranger. I originally wanted to do 2.0 air shocks but have had a bunch of people tell me it would be to heavy and ride funky with them. I feel like a 4 door tacoma would weigh more than an ext cab ranger. Any insight on air shocks over coils?

How much of an upgrade are these beyond a tundra 13wl swap?

how does the ride on the lift compare to the stock suspension? I just got a 2024 3rd off road premium and I love the soft plush bouncy ride. im worried a lift kit will make it firm

@mtnyotas19 күн бұрын
Cutting out all the old stuff on the axle and frame, fabricating new mounts and cross member, then installing all the new stuff... yes, 12 hours.

@@mtnyotas ouch, it took me a few hours on mine when I put 1 tons under it, and that was even putting new spring perches and bump stops….
