Hi Guys, so glad you are back with your camping videos. My husband and I live in Santa Barbara but love to camp in Oregon so we always love to see the videos when you camp in the different state parks in Oregon. We were very inspired to see you camping in the winter! We are going to try that. Hope to run into you someday. Keep them coming! Thank you!

Just discovered your channel. We live in Victoria, but travel frequently to the US. You two seem to have covered much of the same ground that we have. Oregon is our favourite state by far, particularly the coast drive, although we've touched pretty much every part of it over four trips. You may have already done, but, if not, do check out the Alvord Desert in the SE corner. We've been there three times now. I do wind sports, so I take a wing (kind of a handheld kite) and a mountainboard and ride the afternoon winds across the hard pack. Take a black light with you. At night you can prowl the shoreline and see the scorpions... they glow a bright green. Another recommendation, if you haven't already been is the very excellent air museum at McMinnville, not to be confused with the nearby air museum at Tillamook. If, you ever plan a trip back to Victoria/Vancouver Island, contact me via the comments of my channel and I'll set u up with some more info and things to do.

Been There done that. For us it was the power pole in the site blocking the slide. Didn't check the distance before leveling. We gave it a few Damits, Wifey and I pointed at each other and said Ok, whose job is it to check this,. had to reconnect, move over and re-level.. Luckily it wasn't at night. It hasn't happened since. One of the worst that I have seen is some poor guy forgetting to chock the trailer wheels before disconnecting. Trailer started to roll backwards. Watched the owner in a desperate attempt to stop it by grabbing the tongue of the trailer. I guess he could have pulled the breakaway cable to set the brakes. He was too busy panicking to think of that. luckily there was a concrete parking block at the back of the site that stopped it. I think that guy needed clean shorts and a few shots of whiskey after that. Even though I saw it from a distant camp site, it scared me enough that it gave me night mares. I now have a Tag on my hitch lock that says Chocks first. Before I remove that lock the chocks go down. I saw a picture online of an Airstream hanging over a ledge. A tree saved it going all the way over.
@adventuresofjandk5 күн бұрын
@@jimmymac1344 oh man that is scary and the tag is a fantastic idea. One of the things that scares me most is forgotten to chock the wheels. Hopefully we don’t make the slide mistake ever again. We were just freezing and not thinking straight.

Hi kids…lol. We relate to your’fun’ setting up in dark! We’ve been enjoying your videos for years now. We live in C. Oregon after raising a family in Eugene. We’ve camped all over Oregon for 60 years and still love it! We started in a small tent, had a tent trailer for a couple years (while twins were tiny), then gradually upgraded to a small class C. as retirees. Now downsized to a sm. trailer w/ Murphy bed as we turned 80! We love camping so will do it as long as we’re able. :) Keep having fun together and entertaining us🤣

The pond covered in green is topped with Duck Weed! Take a close look at it, you’ll see that those are hundreds of thousands of tiny individual leaves. Its an aquatic plant that only grows in exceptionally clean water. Its not slime of any kind. Interesting fact, when it freezes for a bit, it’ll all turn bright red and then sink and start coming back in a couple few weeks. Not a gross thing, i sign of a great environment! Yes, ducks love it…
