I just bought the plans. All good and nice. But, what about the enable pin from the cnc shield? there is no documentation about it, and it looks like it is a crucial part.

As someone with two years of experience, I highly recommend avoiding GRBL-based control boards. They often encounter random stopping issues, which can be incredibly frustrating and time-consuming, especially during CNC operations. Despite upgrading my stepper driver to the BT6600 and trying multiple solutions-such as upgrading the firmware, replacing the control board, and using different CNC software, changing usb cable, changing firmware, changing speed, changing power supply, supply voltage, usb settings, by running on different speed, Applying ground to machine body, changing usb cable, changing different current and precision settings from stepper driver, the problem persists. Unfortunately, this is a problem rarely discussed on online platforms, KZbinrs mostly show good part of there's project only rather than ground reality, such a worst random stop problem can completely disrupt a job when the machine unexpectedly stops during cutting. If someone have solution for this, please don't hesitate to reply back!

Nice design. With the frame being made of the short bamboo sections plus joins, seems like it would be much easier to repair than a metal, welded frame.

just a word of warning. Allow enough space in your flexible wire way (drag chain) so no compression of the cables occurr. Long term heating with the cable bundle can occurr and cause welding of the insulations to one another and even develop a short circuit between wires and cables. I have seen this several times in my 30 years as a cnc tech. Overall, nice build!

Great Video! Just starting to build it. Don't know if you are still monitoring this thread but I was trying to figure out how you were sending simultaneous commands to both y-axis motors so they run together. I noticed that there are 4 y-pins jumpered together on the CNC Shield just behind the 12-36V connector. Does that have something to do with it? Was also curious on the value of the capacitors. Thanks!

Hi. I bought the plan to your CNC machine, but now I’m having problems with the wiring. The schematics looks good, but watching your doing on the video got me confused. What’s the size of the capacitor Help please thank you, i’m not sure if you can make detail video tutorials for the electronics connection, I’ll pay for it. Thank you Adam

Thanks for posting this. I made one based on this video. I bought a secondhand trailer and cut off the axle and used the wheels (£40). I used cotton cloth strips and epoxy to wrap the joints. Couldn't find the connectors you used so made something myself. It's done a 160mile test so all looks good. Cheers

Wow. That is a great given that the mass produced hiking trailers cost like 400 dollars, even more if it has more options.
