I to wanna keep natural long nails but I cook and clean and have my hands in chemicals or in food. Wearing those gloves don’t help because you can’t hold anything

This is so real 😭 I often find water somehow gets in either way too. I find even if I get medical gloves and put them on and THEN put on the cleaning gloves on top, my hands still get wet. It’s such a struggle.

Just to add some clarity, since I fear I worded myself poorly in this video and some people have brought it to my attention: I NEVER will shame someone asking genuine care advice, nor someone doing so on a budget. The content that I make is from my own personal life experiences caring for animals. And I have had many people ask for my advice where it was very clear that budget was not an issue, rather they just didn’t want to provide what is needed for the animal they want. Intent is always key. There is a monumental difference between someone asking advice because they want to provide the best they can on a budget, and someone asking for the least because they only intend to provide the least. Those who wish to own a life rather than provide and care for it are the ones I criticize and advise against in this video. I also am speaking mainly on exotic pets. Reptiles, aquatics, etc require enclosures, and differ from dogs and other free roam animals due to the fact that they need more, and spend the majority of their time in their enclosures. They need heat, humidity in a lot of cases, everything has to be just right, and they differ from common pets like dogs a lot in this case. You can have a small travel kennel for your house pet, and they’ll only be in there for short periods. A reptile or aquatic species will be in there over 90% of their life. Which is why it’s extra crucial that they have that space and environment they so desperately need. A human can survive in an elevator, but would you thrive at all? I only worded it as “cage” because many people call it that, and I’ve never liked it. I wanted to drive my point home with that word choice, yet I fear it did the opposite and broadened it out to some. This all to say, I apologize if anyone took this as anything other than what I intended, and if anyone took this as condescension in any way. That is NOT what I stand for, and I’m always here if anyone needs advice on care and a non judgmental space to ask for it. That’s why I created my channel to begin with. Hope that came across clear, much love. 💜

This isn’t condescension, I’m simply sharing my experience I’ve had with people that want animals to own them and not to care for them. If anyone is going into purchasing a living being and only wants to provide the least possible because it’s “just an animal” they shouldn’t purchase that animal.

I'm gonna be honest, this one feels a little controversial. I love animals. But, some of them terrify the living daylights out of me. But, that doesn't mean i want them to die just because they creep me out. I agree with the sentiment, but I thinks its a little deeper than this video goes. I think that some animals are best enjoyed by other people and not near me.

It’s not about being afraid, nor is it just not liking an animal, it’s not having respect for their lives. Fears are super valid, as are just not liking certain species. But wishing harm on them, or saying they all deserve to die is what makes people not animal lovers.

there are plenty of reasons to ask for the smallest crate available for a specific animal, the first that comes to mind is travel.

I’m aware, this is in the context of people asking what the least they can provide is before they purchase an animal. I’ll never shame someone asking genuine questions to help their animals flourish, but as an exotic pet keeper I’ve met far too many people who want to provide the least possible for an animal. So many people own animals to OWN them, and not care for them sadly.
