My mother and Dad took us when I was young to East Sligh Avenue Baptist church to hear Bro Maze and my Dad told Bro Maze you need to pray for Bobby he is in love with The Monkees he watches them on TV after school and Brother Maze looked at me and said son you keep listening to those Monkees you will end up in a Coconut tree!LOL😂😊Great evangelist we miss him dearly.

For Dr. EV Hill, it was the word of God or nothing else: That's a man of God. What kind of loved he had for God... So apparent. Lost for words. The good Lord be praised for sowing the great gift of Dr. Hill to the body of Christ...

I am a Captain for Delta and my grandfather’s brother started flying for them in 1946. His son started the year his dad retired in 1977. I am the last in the family and only have a few more years left. This story is 100% true and it pains me that we can’t bring the meeting back on occasion as promised. I was told point blank that our major shareholders are the investment firms of yada yada and they’re in NYC and we have to cater to them. I go back and talk to the passengers in 1st class before almost every flight, time permitting. I always thank them for choosing Delta and mention Monroe as the original hometown. Some are mistaken and think it’s Macon, GA. That’s where Huff Daland Dusters started in 25’ but was moved that same year to MLU and became Delta Air Service a few years later. If you ever get a chance, go in the airport in Monroe and walk all the way to the far left end of baggage claim. There’s a tiny room with historical information and memorabilia. You wouldn’t believe what that airport looked like as a Naval Training Base.

I am from West Monroe, which across the river from Monroe and this is all true. During WWII Claire Chenault trained his Flying Tigers there at Selmon Field which become the Monroe Regional Airport. There is a museum outside the airport commemorating it as well. There is a Coca-Cola museum at the home of Joseph Biedenharn as well

The most powerful sermon that touched on how God has ordained marriage. Having a supportive and Godly woman can contribute to the growth of her husband and family. When God put on Rev Hills heart to "Trust Him", was so beautiful.

I would love to have more of his stories on cd so I can listen to them in my car!!! Curt has brought a lot of enjoyment to a lot of people thru those cassettes!!!!!

It’s just a forever tribute to the late ol gentlemen who always said it named “ Dub”. Dub was a accidental member of the big show crew. He didn’t apply for a job or such , They just always liked the southern way he talked .... and how he could barely read the script parts on the playhouse skits.
