I haven’t been able to get up to my normal race speed in it because I need to keep a sick bucket 🪣 handy at all times! 🤣 The immersion in GT7 is outstanding but the elevation changes really get me big time. Respect for driving that quick in VR … without a bucket! 🤮 🤣👍

Oh man, that's shit! I think some people are just cursed with motion sickness being an issue in VR. I was blessed with having no issues at all with it. I even tried to make myself sick by doing doughnuts for ages. I got more dizzy than sick 😅 I'm after getting the PS5 pro, and there is a definite increase in clarity and performance on GT7, and there hasn't even been an update yet optimising it for the pro! I can put the brightness up fully, and the screen door/ mesh effect is nearly gone. It is still there if you look for it, but it's night and day compared to the standard ps5. It definitely raises the bar for immersion compared to the standard ps5. They say you can build up your tolerance for VR if you do suffer from motion sickness. Just do really short stints, take off the headset, and return to it again after a while. Slowly try and increase the time you can stay in the headset before you start to feel sick. It might take time, but it would be worth it if you could build up your tolerance. I hope you can get used to the headset without feeling sick. Happy Racing, my friend, and thanks for the comment 🙂👊

@ yeah I’m trying to increase my VR time slowly. I can get away with stabbing zombies in the face in The Walking Dead for 30 minutes at a time now so I’ve always got that as a back up plan if GT7 doesn’t work out! 🤣👍 I was wondering about the pro, it’s supposed to make a big change on GT7 from a review I read before it was released. It was written by a reviewer that wasn’t a car nut .. like us 🤣 … but he definitely said there was a marked difference between std and pro pS5. Take care bud 👍🚗😎

Ha, cheers man! Im playing on PC. I recorded the cockpit view of me and the TV with my phone and then I recorded the different replay views and edited them over the main view. So I wasn't recording gameplay through the PC as I was driving. I had to record that with my phone as my PC wouldn't be able to handle that!😅 These are my PC specs, not brilliant, but not terrible either: PC: HP Omen 25L CPU: Intel i5 2.9 GHz Specs: 32gb Ram 1000GB HDD 250GB SSD Nvidea Geforce 2060 RTX graphics card.

I enjoyed watching your driving bud, ya got the skills, It was a real debate to watch or not watch, CONs: graphics- car & track look boxy old and cheap, PROs: You - Great guy from my experience, If your playing it still let's see why. ANSWER: for realism in speed, scale physics, not scarifying difficulty to make gamers play better than they are, still I don't know if i can deal with the graphics, the best part realistic physics i cant enjoy with a sim rig. Thanks for getting me to look closer at considering it. We should all band together start putting extreme pressure on software developers, the WRC corporation, All the car manufactures and demand much better rally games 🏴‍☠🏁

Thanks bud 👍 I hear you when you say the graphics are a big deal for you. In this day and age, everything needs to be on point. Some of the stages that people have created are actually quite realistic looking. The cars themselves aren't shiny and modern looking, but they move so realistically on their suspension. You can really see this in the replays too, and it's enjoyable to watch the replays afterwards because of this. The sounds are really improving, too. It has come so far from the original game. I'm not sure how it handles on a controller. You may need a wheel to fully enjoy it, I would say. But the game is free and definitely worth a look for hard-core rally fans. So many stages and cars to choose from and they constantly hav rallys online to join. Really good community for this game🙂👊

Hi man, I suppose there are a few things to check. Are you using rallysimfans.hu version of RBR? There are various versions, but I think the most popular is rallysimfans.hu. Make sure you have the latest version of it downloaded. What wheel are you using? Make sure you have the latest firmware on your wheel. Give me a shout and let me know if any of this worked, and if not I'll try and help you get it sorted. I'm by no means an RBR expert, but I know how frustrating it is to troubleshoot the game and it's hard to find help for it. Keep me posted 🙂👊

Hi man, nice to meet you! I call Haggar the "Mad Aussie Scientist." 😅 He is a savage driver and has a great brain and vision for inventing awesome stuff for the rig from people's scrap and rubbish. Have you got a hard rubbish rig like Haggar? It's an artform being able to turn rubbish into an amazing rig. I love Stevens videos. I always look forward to seeing how his new rig is progressing. I hope he is keeping well and is settled in in his new town. I'm not as gifted at creating my own rig like Steve or yourself, so I paid for everything I have. My cockpit is a sim lab X1, I think 🤔 ....it's a solid rig with no movement even with my 15nm Direct Drive Fanatec Clubsport DD+ wheel base. I slowly upgraded all my stuff over the years and got better parts as time passed. Sim racing is savage bud. I love rally the most probably. I did all the Colin McRae challenges on the hardest difficulty on Dirt Rally 2.0. Steven Haggar himself encouraged me to do it on Very hard because the 1st one I did was on hard. I didn't think I would be able to do it on Very Hard but with the encouragement from the Haggar, I got it done. I have all the videos on my channel, if you are interested. If you like rally and you like a challenge, I highly recommend trying it out if you have Dirt Rally 2.0 with the Colin McRae add on 👌 I'm more of a Time Trial guy but I do love jumping into a rally with multiple stages, too, and see how well I fare out. I always put it on hard-core mode with no assists, cockpit view only, but I do have Co Driver on but no screen hud and I always put it in manual with clutch or sequential (whichever was true to the real car) I like EA WRC but my PC is quite weak and it struggles with it at times. I think you would fuckin love Richard Burns Rally if you like a hard-core challenge. If you have a PC, and haven't tried it out, check it out my friend. If you have any questions on how to install it, give me a shout too and I'll be happy to help you out. Oh, my TV is just a flat screen. It's a 48" OLED TV. well yeah nah i carnt get my fingers to drive with a controller, so without a rig, its no go In the RUBBISH RIG i''m not bad. I never play except rare visit to haggar, but I have ova last 2 months, I had surgery and wasn't allowed to lift or do anything physical so been driven Lobe and then WRC usen ps3 control. if ya wana laugh check my tube rally clips, driven the best i can with ps3 control(wrc junior I could win)(wrc2 thats where i lost hope) i make hairpin, sideways sections(doors missing, half the body gone, LIKE U footdown flat to the floor thrown it sideways and sometimes ends in spectacular crashes AS shorts, to get the views, I TELL YA NOW I LOVE RALLY HARDCORE, BEEN DRIVEN REAL CARS ROUND DANDENONG RANGERS GRAVEL TRACKS from age16 flat out, id steal me mums corolla seca at night, go'n home had 2 go like 70kph down my street , kill the engine roll up hill to stop in drive where it was b4 sun up. in front me parents room. if i wasnt fast enough have to roll back out push down the street and try agian. in the 1990s i went to melb motor show , ralli art had a simulator and best time won a trial in real car in the australian ralliart team. It was the full lancer evo5 body, i think colin mcree 1 or maybe 2 as track projected in front of car. id never played the game, and near end of track the graphics whited out the track attempting to simulate sun. there was a kid who obviously played it b4 he clocked 2 laps in 5minutes, 5 or people infront of me, each of them took 20 - 25 minutes to get round to laps they would take off and start peduleming, (swingen ass side to side, no hope) i was stressen the motor would close b4 i got a run. i got my turn, Anyway i got thru first lap smooth and ahead second lap a little pendulm satarted i let off composed forgot the sun bullshit was on next corner, slid off road , spun it back straight (and sorry im got tears forming) over the line with the ghost car flashing just in front POINT 01 of a second. SO I HAVE HAD EXTREME ANGER AND HATERED for computers since that day. it took a lot of persuding for steve to get me usen his rig. one of the first times i did i did the live monthly event on BURNS OR DIRT not sure, u know u wreck the car or go off road thats it over, no second chance. I finished the monthly rally heaps of stages in the mini cooper half way thru lost a wheel n got to end of that stage had 2 make thru another stage 3wheels before service, finished rally 376 in the world in that event, 1000000 Xbox points reward and two diamond rewads., so im not a fan but i wont be a hater anymore and im happy to get in the rig, it takes 30 minutes roughly for hagger to change all the leavers and controls so i can drive manual and set the car in game so it is behaving the way it should for my driving style, and i will give ya a run for ya money on whatever stage yo been driven 1000 times a day. ps pro tip fast thru some corners/wigglely bits isnt a quick as go'n little less fast, SMOOTH IS FAST, i hardly move the stearing wheel HAggAR rips the fuckn thing off the rig like a psyco as long as you love what you do that is all that matters, thats what haggar do, I fully support and respect that. all the best in achiving ya dreams. you can do it. no doubt if Haggar's not careful he will accidently have built a time machine out of a microwave and a head band and vanish in simulated space! chapter 23 and thats my story, actually feels freeing to get it out, since i think you asked what my story with simulator car games was, so good to put it out in the universe, its been eating at me for a lifetime . I did die almost 2 years ago. im so lucky i was found and these people, the cops pounded on me chest till ambulance came and the docters didnt think id make it HAGGAR forced his way past security at hospital and apparently by my side pleaded to not leave this realm and im sure that made to helped for me to have a second life a restart "" lol "" i dont do restarts sim rallys. as i said. life is ironic

@anthonyfraser9757 I will definitely check out your channel and your videos. I agree with you about the controller. It's just not the same. The wheel and pedals and gear stick are a natural way to control a driving game. You are like Haggar in that you don't do restarts in rally games. 1 shot, just like real Rally 👌 I'm the same with trying to get through to the end of the stage regardless of whether there's 1 wheel left, no power, it doesn't steer. Never give up. The time you get is the time you get. That's crazy that you died!! Were you clinically dead? I am very interested in people's story's that have had Near death experiences. They are usually all quite similar in that the person feels only a sense of positive emotion. None of us know what this realm is, but people with NDE probably have a better idea about where we are headed after we are done with our body in this life. Very interested in hearing your story if you want to tell it. I'm sure you probably have a different outlook on life now. I'm sure if we were to have 1 shot down a rally stage each that neither of us knew, you would leave me in a pile of dust! You would in a real car definitely, but Id you would on the rig too 😅👊

I like your positive attitude. recently I have seen creators of similar content instead of being rivals they form tight supportive group. and when one of them has a life crisis they jump in and support them more than ever. It helps that person so much and flows back making everyone a lot mentally healthier and stronger it's awesome Haggar has that with simulator rig enthusiasts, not sure if its my place to say but he has had hard times lately and you and the group help him rise from the depths of despair. thank you I hope you get the same value from your group. I''m interested to know if you do AS far as when i was not technically dead there was nothing, no light etc, maybe that is due to my spirit had not actually left my body yet, the cops took my wallet to my son and told him i was likely to die and my son was adamant he knew that i was going to be ok. there was no doubt in his mind. cheers mate, I am always tell'n Haggar if ya going to spend all ya time on something find a way to make it pay, he spends so much time on his rig, i have convinced him to film every stage of rig 2.1 and put it on tube so look forward to lots of that. p.s. I'm a little autistic and stressed hard that i shouldn't have gone on about my story in my reply to you. maybe it could have caused a bad impression/reaction. it has helped me feel I'm alright and not a freak getting a positive reply back thanks i really apricate you 4 that

I agree with you 100% that most people in the sim racing community will always try and help each other through tough times. We all go through hard times in this life, and to have people that you can talk to about similar interests is a must. The hobbies we have and things we like to do keep our minds occupied. It's when you don't get a chance to do the things you enjoy, for whatever reason, that you can feel like you are on your own, and it's easy to get lost in thoughts of being anxious and alone or wondering why we are here and what is the meaning of it all. If we can find people in this life who share our interests, then we are winning. I know it's hard at times to make videos, especially when you aren't in the best mental headspace. I didn't start making videos to make money. I always used to look up videos on how to fix sim racing equipment and always appreciated the time people took to make a video to help out others. I said I should do the same, so that's what I started doing. I always enjoyed how others raced around rally stages and the lines they took to get the times they did, so I just started making my own videos of my rig and me rallying and racing, too. So I can see why Haggar might not have the energy to do. KZbin is a hard platform to get recognition from people, and the likes of me and Haggar will find it very hard to ever make a living off it. But what we can get from it, is knowing we helped someone in the community out or if 1 person likes a video we made and it made them feel better for even a minute, then I think we can be proud of that. You sound like a tough Aussie bloke! And your son knows that about you too. It won't be that easy to kill you off!! Keep on enjoying this life, my friend. Not everyone has the same interests, but the 1 thing we do all have in common is that we will pass on from this life one day and hopefully to another realm where we don't have any stresses or negative emotions. I think we are put here to experience those other emotions because when we get to the next realm, those emotions aren't even a thing. We will all find out one day, but until then, we can enjoy what this life has to offer. I look forward to seeing Haggars' new rig taking shape, and you can tell him I said that if you are talking to him. My name is Steve, too, by the way! One thing I will say to you is, never feel stressed about what someone else thinks of you!! All you can be is yourself. Treat others well, and if anyone says anything negative about you, that says more about them than it does you! You don't need people like that, so don't worry about them. Forget them and move on! Keep that positive attitude up, my friend and keep enjoying the 2nd chance you got at life 🙂👊

@footdownracing
@footdownracing Ай бұрын
Hi man, I wouldn't say I am a wheelie expert either. I am far from it! I haven't played the game in ages, so they may have it patched so that you can't hold a wheelie and it won't allow you to flip the bike. But 1st thing is, make sure anti wheelie is off. I think the default setting is anti wheelie 3. You need to set it to 0. Superbikes should wheelie with acceleration alone but you can transfer your weight onto the back wheel by pulling back the left stick. Don't accelerate too harshly. Just gently until u get in 3rd gear and then pull back fully on the left stick and hold it there as you accelerate through the gears. It should just hold the wheelie at a certain angle (if they haven't patched it). I hope this helps you out 👊

Ah, you are playing WRC! There is a setting in the gear select mode in the options where the transmission will be whatever the car is in real life. So if you are driving a car which uses H-pattern in real life, you wont be able to use sequential mode until you switch the option in the gameplay or control menu (not sure where exactly the option for this is) to manual sequential. This could potentially be the issue. I'll throw on the wrc now and try and find it for you. It may not even be the problem but might be worth a try.....OK, just double check in the options and extras settings, then assists, then make sure manual sequential mode is selected instead of manual auto - select. Manual auto select selects the gear box for the particular car you are driving, so if you choose a h-pattern car, sequential shifter wont work. That may not be your issue. Let me know either way and we can trouble shoot what might be your issue if this doesn't work 👊@ethanbarnes9162

Sorry man, I didn't get a notification about your question! I like a light wheel with not much ffb strength but the setting will vary from car to car and surface to surface. Unfortunately there is no real 1 setting fits all. I need to go back to the game and see if I can get some decent settings. Is there a particular car/ stage combo that you like and I can try and get settings that I would like for them and share them with you. My settings may not be to your taste if you like a really heavy ffb

Hello, I have CS DD+ but RBR does not recognize the direction of the steering wheel ? Have you solution please ?
@footdownracing
@footdownracing 2 ай бұрын
Hi, That is strange. I'm not sure why that is. Try out these steps and see if they resolve it. 1. Close RBR completely and turn your wheel off and on again. 2. Once your wheel is powered on again, make sure it is in PC Mode (red LED). Now try restarting RBR. 3. Go into options and controls and try and edit the controls and see if it is seeing your wheel now. If it's not seeing the wheel still, make sure you have the latest firmware update on your wheel and make sure you have the latest version of RBR installed also. Let me know if you are still having trouble or if any of these steps get it sorted 👍

I'm new to PSVR2 and VR in general and was blown away by the immersion when I first tried this. Like some others though, I'm experiencing a lot of blurriness, mura and ghosting effects in the game. I have found the sweet spot, tried every tip I have read and nothing seems to make too much difference. The cockpit itself looks nice and sharp but a few car lengths in front and everything starts looks pretty bad to the point it's difficult to judge braking distances and so on at high speed. Going through tunnels and I can barely see anything at times , and was starting to wonder if I had a faulty headset. Is this normal for GT? I have only tried this game, Pavlov and Beat Saber so far. The latter of the two don't seem so bad so maybe it's just the game itself.

Hello, my friend. I think all current gen VR headsets struggle with keeping clarity on objects in the distance. I put out a video before saying how it is hard to make out makes and models of cars while inside the headset in GT7, unless you are right up on top of them. Also, it's very difficult to make out what's written on the distance boards approaching bends. You can't read them until you are right beside them, and by that time, it could be too late. Having said that, I do personally prefer to play GT7 in VR rather than on the flat screen. One of the biggest tips I could give to keep the image as sharp as possible is to have plenty of micro fibre lens cleaning cloths and clean the lens before and even during use. You would be surprised the difference that makes. All you need is the microfiber cloths for cleaning lenses. Don't use any cleaners, liquids, or anything other than the dry microfiber cloth as cleaning solutions, even water, and any cloths that aren't specifically for cleaning lenses may damage the headset and / or the lenses. After trying my psvr2, my friend decided to get it for himself, but he was disappointed with the image quality compared to mine. I haven't tried his yet but I need to bring my headset to him and try it on his ps5 to see if there is any difference. I just need to find the time to do it. My ps5 is the original day 1 release ps5 with disk reader & my mate has a slimline ps5. I thought the specs might be lower on the slimline one but seemingly the specs are the exact same. Can I ask what type of ps5 you have yourself?
@TranceClassicsOfficial
@TranceClassicsOfficial 2 ай бұрын
@@footdownracing Thanks for the reply. I have some microfiber cloths here which I knew to use dry as I'd read the lenses were very easy to damage/scratch etc, but the cloths I'm using aren't lens specific ones so I'll grab some of those and see if that helps any further. Yeah my PS5 is a release day with the disc drive too. Maybe my expectations were just set too high, but after joining PSVR2 groups on Facebook and so on it seems not everyone has the same experience. Others saying they have just a tiny bit of mura effect and otherwise clear visuals...unless they are simply lying to themselves. Other games I've tried so far do not seem to be so bad mind you, (Beat Saber, Pavlov) but I'm still not sure if it's the game itself or maybe I've got a headset with a fault.

I reckon some people have experience with VR headsets and know what to expect of the tech at this time. Others like myself and maybe you, after seeing peoples reviews and looking at videos of recorded footage on youtube were expecting crystal clear visuals and a bigger leap forward from the original psvr. I have noticed clearer visuals in residential evil village compared to GT7. I think it's just the nature of the GT7. There's a lot going on and it's very fast paced. I hope the microfiber cloths can enhance your experience with it even further 🙂👊 @TranceClassicsOfficial

Yeh, I found most of the people reviewing the psvr2 lead people to believe that the image quality inside the headset was the same as the recorded quality. It has actually been improved greatly since launch. They added patches and updates to improve it but when I got it at launch it was much worse. They have released a PC adapter for it now though, so that you can officially use it for the PC too. I haven't tried the adapter myself as I'm still waiting for mine to ship, but seemingly most of the reviews of it are praising it, but I'll judge that for myself when I get it. I hope you get past the initial dissapointment and are able to enjoy it my friend, as there are some great experiences to be had 🙂👊

I never tried it in VR but I remember in the original Dirt Rally, it looked savage inside the cars. If you were too high up, you could lift your head higher and then recalibrate the headset to that position and when you sat back down in the normal position, you would be seated lower in the headset, if that makes sense. I was using the psvr for playstation though, so the PC headset calibration could be different. I wouldn't think it should look like you are in an SUV though 🤔
