Hi Mike. I just got the 5080 and i have both Cubase 5 and Cubase 14 pro. I have a MIDI cable and two audio cables. My interface is an SPL Crimson 3 which has a MIDI in and MIDI out ports However connecting the XV5080 to MIDI has been a nightmare, could you please help me with a guide having my set up in mind? and, do I need to download installation drivers? if so where can i get them? Thank you

Without showing how you make a sample omnisphere will accept the video is kind of pointless in that perspective.

Hi does this come with the Halion that’s a free part of Cubase Pro or do we need to separately buy Halion to access these patches. Thanks in advance.

Finally a clear demo of the P1. Thank you. How did you connected to your device? Could you use USB or was it with midi cable? Side note: your website miss the httpS, and is flagged as "unsecure" , you may want to solve this issue if you wish to have more visitors.

Hi Mike, thanks a lot. Love this. I have a question. Saw you using Retrologue. What would you use if you wanted to make high quality orchetra tracks? Like filmscores or classical music?

Если добавить Midi канал направленный на Virus VST, то можно делать рендер на месте с этого миди канала.

I disagree with all the comments saying that Hot Brass is "terrible". Firstly it comes as part of Halion Sonic 3 and Halion 6 and secondly it's a fairly genre specific library. But it does take skill and time to get what you want out of it but it is 100% usable and so are the Halion Factory brass sounds ( some of those also have articulations ). It's not necessarily the plugins that make you good but how good you are at playing or sequencing. This is also a lot cheaper than a Yamaha workstation or flagship arranger keyboard which in reality don't sound that much better in my opinion.

Great tutorial Mike! Regarding Layers on a Pad.... I cannot get basic settings like Vol/Pan/Coarse/Fine to be modified independently on the Pad. When I set the Mode to Layer, I could 'SEL' each pad and modify only some attributes independently... for example, on Pitch tab, I could use the PItch shaper and set the levels independently and some knobs are independent, but if I use Coarse/Fine knobs, it is applied to both layers. the Random, Vel et al knobs. could all be tweaked independently. Just seems odd that my Vol/Pan/Coarse/Fine could only be applied to the entire pad? Thank you!
