This was a fantastic discussion. Marc's description of networks and systems really enlightens the potential of uncovering the true mechanisms of biology that building a map of interactions holds. Excellent questions by Cesar. Can't believe this doesn't have more views.

It's unbelievable that such an insightful conversation remains almost unseen. This is is a jewel for development practitioners!

Many non human primates cooperate with non relatives. Female chimpanzees scatter during estrus to avoid inbreeding. Male elephants leave the female pack to find non related mates. Bonobos welcome non related other bonobo clans. Hmmmmm…. It seems that humans are the culprits in inbreeding once property relations and inter generational wealth transfer inspired cousin marriage. I’m sitting here scratching my Hapsburg jaw.

Hi Cesar and team, thanks for uploading the sessions. I unfortunately missed Scott and now can catch up. Really great. I also entirely second your intro to Scott. My own story is somehow similar. In 2013 at the beginnings of my undergrad studies, I was not really sure what I wanted to do with my life. Until I took “Model thinking” by Scott Page on Coursera. Still one of the best classes I have ever taken. From then on I knew: that’s the way I want to learn how to think and am pursuing that goal ever since. Thanks and cheers.
