Thanks so much! I didn't know it could be opened with a buggered screw. TIP: put the key in a vise, then after prying it open with a utility knife, removing the fob takes just a few seconds by hand. No need to heat it and no additional tools needed. I just replaced the batteries on two of mine this way. Less chance of breaking the plastic, too.

I have air being sucked in at the half moon shape on the cover. I replaced the diaphragm it’s an aftermarket. I used my same cover. It’s pushed on correctly. Also got a P0710 code and misfire on cylinder 4 that won’t go away. New plugs, new coils and twice added injection cleaner. Need help.

Thank you very much for this video. I have a Rover 620ti and I have precisely refurbished the rear brakes because the handbrake wasn't stopping the car anymore. Although I had already retracted the piston, I was puzzled whether I was doing the right thing or not because I was not going to change the pads I was just refurbishing the caliper itself.

DO NOT , DO NOT , hit the cups against other cups . The surfaces are very hard and will Chip and Splinter . ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GLASSES ! Also a hammer should not be used to directly strike a cup . Punches are of a softer steel composition .

Hey Wayne, that was very informative but I do have a question, can you by any chance refer me to images of partially bedded rotors? I'm new to the bedding process and want to ensure they've been bedded completely and not just partially

Now that's how you deliver an instructional video Sir! Only I still have not quite come to understand how to face the seal. I am loading a utility trailer Bearing set with a very cheap looking seal with no outer rubber to meet the inner circumference of the hub. Making it appear incomplete. Unless of course that rubber outer seal portion is supposed to be purchased separately. I honestly do not how which part of the seal goes on first nor why there's no rubber outside, but only where the seal meets the axle. Care to shed some light on the subject Sir?
@waynesgarage85792 ай бұрын
Thank you for your kind words. The seal in the video is of a special application. If I remember correctly it’s from an off-road towing tractor. Majority of the hub seal would not have that outer rubber seal

@waynesgarage8579 thanks for your reply sir! Yet, my confusion remains whether I should mount the the overt side of the seal against the bearing (which seems to sit loosely against the bearing) or the covert side which seems to fit snugly against the bearing (in a groove of the bearings inner race)? The kit comes with no instruction on which end to insert first. I’m Leary because I’m camping in the woods and don’t want to insert it backwards and destroy the bearing on the way home and end up destroying the entire process. Any ideas on that issue sir! Thanks for your help indeed!

That spring’s job is to keep tension on the seal lip that’s riding on the rear seat of the spindle. So on the last photo of that link shows how the seal should look when it’s installed on the wheel hub. In other words, the spring should be facing the grease side when installed. The inner bearing (larger one) will be trapped in the hub loosely after the seal is installed. When you tighten the castle nut in the end is when everything gets lined up. Hope this helps.

I replaced my front rotors and pads and had rubbing/squeaking noises coming from both sides on the front. I did the "bedding" of the brakes but it still does it. Ive put over 100 miles on them so far. Not sure what to do next?
@stefanb85262 ай бұрын
Not all ceramic pads are made equal, as with rotors. I've had warping after just a few months, turns out i had cheap rotors. sometimes you also get a bad batch of pads, if you purchased a complete kit you might be able to get some replacmens.
