You should look at Warhammer Armies Project (yes, it's WAP) and The 9th Age. They're both fan continuations of old WHFB, with WAP being a bit more zany, and 9th age being much more competitively focused. I'm waffling between the two for a map/ growth league I'm gonna be starting with my friends soon

In the dark forests of Sylvania lies the town of Mournhope. Its crumbling walls and decaying shingles roofs ward a troubled people. Night is haunted by ravenous werewolves, hellspawn, and batwinged vampires. Overcast and foggy day brings little respite from these and other terrors. Plague has broken out in part of the town and is being blamed on the large rat creatures that have been seen crawling out of the sewers. Captain Beltran Navarro’s Black Dragons stand vigil, saving what they can of the citizenry from the foul terrors that haunt the forsaken town… Awesome Early Modern Empire warband. Adding Landsknechte, conquistadores, pikemen, and a culverin or two from third party historicals will go nicely with your Black Dragons.

Very nice Arnor kitbashing!! I really like the Late Roman influence. How granular (if at all) do you get with the Roman stuff (eg. Are you differentiating your three Arnorian factions by making some Romani (Western) and others Romaioi (Eastern/Byzantine)? Breaking them up by province (eg. Gallia, Britanniae, Hispaniae; or Thracia, Pontica, Oriens)? Or are you doing a general blend of West and East? Or just some Western or Eastern Roman vibes?)?

The crusades were based on religious wars not racism, its one of the few times that different ethnic groups of Europeans didn't war with eachother so its quite the opposite of racism at work in that regards.

KZbin algo decided to be useful for once. Really digging your modelling, man, working the historical kits over to create LOTR forces is always fun to see. It's some inspiring stuff, I do similar with my whfb dogs of war army.

I am curious to see that units or heroes will be added that are not getting new models Also that’s an impressive pile of opportunity😂 I recently cut mine down
@AndurzTalksHobbiesАй бұрын
Yah, as i said I'd love ONE more troop type. Some kind of royal guard, maybe with hand and a half, or elven made 2 handed weapons or something to add some variety, rather than just tankier defense. And yes, i recently reorganized my POS... but it's still a bit wild :P
@mhovar101Ай бұрын
@@AndurzTalksHobbies if I could make a recommendation, what really helped me was creating “mercenary forces” I would kitbash what set I had into small groups that would never be enough to fully make an army but could make a unit or two composed of test models for projects I could consider to flush out in the future or even just to have for fun.

I think we all may have had something to do with this. I feel like Arnor has gotten the most attention from stl makers like Medbury, KzK, and Davale to the point where I wouldn’t be surprised if people’s Arnor armies are almost entirely made up of proxies (I know I only have three official GW models, the rest are proxies from Medbury and KzK). GW probably took notice and thought “maybe there is some money to be made here”
@AndurzTalksHobbiesАй бұрын
@@aaaron152 yah it's definitely a favorite area for creatives to play in, so feels very "finger on the pulse" of them
@HalbardadsHobbyingАй бұрын
You’d be right. I kitbashed my Arnorian army with almost exclusively Perry Parts. The only “official” things I have in there are some bits I used for conversions.
@advariosАй бұрын
Cool extension of your Arnor project! I would really like a side by side comparison between your own models and the official ones from GW :)
@AndurzTalksHobbiesАй бұрын
@advarios thanks! Though i admit a side by side may be a long ways out, as like i said in the video i probably won't be buying any of the new stufd :P Will have to wait till i come up against them in a tourney or something, and will for sure take pics then! But they're drastically different aethetics, so to each their own!
