To those who are still deciding which academic strand to take in SHS if the preferred college course is BSIT/BSCS, your choices should revolve around STEM and ICT. By taking the STEM strand, you are giving youself a favor to enhance your critical and logical thinking skills as you'll take math and physics subject. Not to mention that these skills are very essential for programmers to have. Sa mga balak mag CS diyan, marami kayong maths kaya pag-isipan niyo ito nang mabuti. Good choice din ito if balak niyong mag apply for scholarships in college because they prioritize STEM graduates. Ang downside lang nito is ung ibang school, they advertise that their STEM curriculum includes programming subjects but turns out not putting any emphasis on tech at all so be wise sa school selection. On the other hand, ang curriculum ng ICT (depende sa school) ay mas nakafocus sa programming, unlike sa STEM na may subjects na di mo naman magagamit in your profession. Thus, mas sulit at optimized ang classes na itatake mo. Ang downside lang nito is that certain institutions do not accept non-STEM applicants for BSIT/BSCS courses at hindi sila nag ooffer ng bridging program (take TUP as an example). Also, ICT is in Technical Vocational na mas suitable sa mga balak nang magtrabaho after high school or magtatake ng TESDA course. The decision is up to you, both are valid choices.

Pipili talaga ng isa eh. I had a classmate, NFT din ginawa earned millions, not just a million. He bought a daaang sports car. But hey, his grades and attendance were really really bad. But he was able to graduate still. He was 18 years old. Now he does networking. Idk if he continued college though.
