Looks great. With that much clamping to the quill - forcing it to not fully retract, does it still eject the center/drill etc?
@bruceang823 күн бұрын
@dannirr yes, everything I have , someone gave some good advice if you have a particularly short dead center, throw a 1/2" ball bearing in the quill 1st.

Very nice video. I have had this same machine for three years. Where did you get the F N R sticker for the change gear? It appears to have the PM logo on it. Also, did you make a video showing your design. I like what you did. Thanks.

can a DC motor "produce electricity" like a generator?

you're welcome, I bought it specifically for a certain size constraint I was dealing with, it worked well for that & is holding up well with a load.

That is my old 55G. The wood plinth is made from some cherry lumber I had left over from making a cabinet for a friend. It’s nice to see it running again. That is one I shouldn’t have let get away. I still have the riveted boiler 25 I bought from you years ago. I just installed a new heater in it. I converted it to 220 volt since I now live in Europe. Today I fired up the 25 for the first time in 6 years. It was like visiting an old friend. Salut!

Thank you for showing how you made the spring knob. I was straining my brain trying to figure that puzzle out :) I don't have a mill, but I suppose I could make the lever base and detent arc on my band saw and clean them up with a sander and files.
@bruceang82Ай бұрын
your certainly welcome, I have to admit it taxed my brain more than it should have, ultimately it was simple. good luck with your project. : )

Nice set up, love the windmill, reminds me of all the windmills [water pumps] I saw when I was at my daughters in west Australia on rural farms often thought about building a model of one [you've beaten me to it]

Can you inform me as to where you got the water pump jack? I have been looking all over for this. Thanks much! Great display!
@bruceang82Ай бұрын
The pump jack is non-functioning & is made by Ertl, look on Ebay "Ertl Power House Farm Series Antique Pump Jack. 1/7th Scale" I had to disassemble it & put a groove in the pulley.

Do you happen to know if this makes more electricity than a PMR Dynamo?
@bruceang82Ай бұрын
I have a friend that did a comparison video between the PMR genny and the AliXpress genny, the Alixpress outperforms the PMR genny in every way, plus it's also an electric motor. I have purchased 3 so far & am very pleased with them.

they just screwed up & located the mounting screws in the wrong area. Tech claims there is no issue with performance, humm how do I slide the "T" nuts all the way back?
