This is so fun to experiment with. Thanks a lot for the tips! NB: Heads up for the other newcomers, the option for recording directly on empty pads is in SETTINGS > DEFAULTS > UI > SONG > GRID > EMPTY PADS > CREATE + RECORD > ENABLED. Since it was disabled for me by default, this workflow wasn't quite so smooth.

this thing has a mind numbing amount of presets. it's almost Integra 7 level at first glance. I havent added up all the individual patch Banks but it looks like thousands of patches. it has all of the XV-5080 built in patches and that is just one patch bank in MC 707. some of the patch banks are much bigger than others. I see people complain that the presets are terrible but I'm coming across quite a few really good presets that respond very well to the Dynamics of the pads.

Good video. I bought the Novation launchkey mk3 61 last year because I didn't want to spend the money on this keyboard. I am kinda regretting that decision not because the launchkey mk3 61 is bad it's actually quite good but the extra features and the sequencing of the SL mk3 is really nice. I understand that it can output multiple midi channels is that right? Would you buy this keyboard today in 2024? Are you still using it? Is there any better options out there nowadays?
