What I like about the new one is that it’s consistent with the first few moves where Joshua does the moves first before everyone else. It looks cleaner that way, tbh.

@@hayley4032 personally, I find this type of videos, that compare two videos side by side, a little hard to watch. I know all the changes they did because I saw all the performances and got familiar with the choreo, but some changes are so subtle that you can easily miss them while trying to watch the two versions at the same time.

Oh I see now so the members beside Joshua also adapted to the mistake timing and went a move early which worked out so good!

Ok so for people who don't get it @ 2:02 : Originally: He (Joshua) does the pump move and then there are 3 waves of pumps from the other members, and then they all synchronise on the looking move. Mistake: After the pumps, he's 1 move ahead by a half beat, up until the handwaving. New: They do 3 waves from the pump for every move, and the moves overlap up until they get to the hand waving where they resynchronise. My favorite is still actually the mistake version where he's 1 step ahead of all the rest, just feels a little snappier.

For anyone wondering about the 'mistake'. It's the hand movements that are not syncronised and it makes a nice ripple effect. I kept looking at their legs and couldnt spot the difference 🤣

As a dancer, it's mostly practice, memorizing, and muscle memory. The better your musicality in music, the faster you'll learn a dance, mastering it just takes several hours or days of practice.
