I like the creativity but it seems like this would slow down combat immensely or discourage movement.

Very helpful. Saw this after beginning my own project. I befan by glueing lids / tops onto mdf then building up with sand and pva. Its for smaller scale games and will provide substantial cover, in some cases sufficient for whole squads.

Instead of tape over the LED contacts, you could just hot glue over them.

I really vibe your builds. You build like I have for the last 30 years. It's old school with very little and interesting random toys and shapes. So it's very inexpensive to an easily achieved for beginners. Keep up the great work. I will definitely follow your future projects. Also, you should snag yourself some of the rectangular 22 ammo holders that come in the box to keep the ammo upright. They are a nice hard plastic and make excellent syfy catwalks, a little balsa frame, and you got a sick, easy bridge. Just food for thought.

also, protip, using the plant tray is a good idea, but you can make your life much easier by cutting the bases where you put the plants off and making the molds you will use the actual size yo need them to be, separate from the original piece. the dragonteeth can be glued between 2 strips of card to make a line of molds that will stand on their own, and actually cutting the barriers molds out and sealing the ends with card and sealing the end with duct tape on the inside will give you much easier to manage tools to mass produce with. though ill be honest, im lazy so i bought plant trays like these and cut them up and filled the bits i wanted to use with a mix of hot glue and cardboard, then just painted them to look like stone. i got a set of 5 trays for £3 and they made me two dozen dragonteeth and like a yard of barriers and i didnt need to mess around with concrete

nice job mate. i would look at using a hot glue gun on the hedgehogs though. it sets so quick it helps with the sliding problem. id actually consider using hot glue instead of tacky on most of those pieces for the speed at which it sticks stuff together.
@forgeofsagas Жыл бұрын
I like hot glue, but on such small things I've had it get a little too thick. Might be the nozzle on my glue gun though. Thanks for the tips!

Not sure if it's your camera but in the wide shots the gold frames and the sandstone concrete looked too similar to really read as different.
@forgeofsagas Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I admit I'm still learning the finer points of camera work. The metallic stands out better in person.
@TheMichaellathrop Жыл бұрын
@@forgeofsagas not sure how much of that is your skills vs your camera, thanks for clarifying that point though.
@forgeofsagas Жыл бұрын
No problem. The point was just to shake up the traditional grey colors that you always see with industrial terrain. I chose those colors because they match a lot of my other terrain, but you could do whatever you like. For example, another idea I think would look very nice is a dark green with copper metal work.

Ugh... concrete is such an awful material to advocate using for creating. Even Quikrete has Portland Cement in it. If you're using this, you should have gloves, eye protection, and a respirator. You definitely dont want the dust in your lungs or eyes.

Algorithm just dropped this into my suggestions now - great execution in laying out the modularity. Definitely taking this to apply to different sized (and shaped) buildings for things like Stargrave, Frostgrave, Five Parsecs, RoSD, etc.
