Her character in Trek was very curious and interesting. Her character could be very sweet, but boy, she turned on the fire when she wanted to. I'll never forget her saying "You don't know the meaning of the world" how ice cold she said it, to Charlie X when he told her he loved her. Her and Dr. Crusher (Gates McFadden) were both great physical actresses in their own way. Grace Lee Whitney was so expressive in her face. She had the sweetest smmile in Trek, but her gaze could turn ice cold, along with her voice. McFadden was more a good physical actress with her body motions. When Word sprayed her eyes with his mouth acid when he was starting to de-evolve, her agonzed screams of pain and the way she moved around was so realistic and impactful that every time I see that clip, I have to remind mysel that it's not real! She also did a great job of acting affeted by the sonic pulse they got from Geordi's jury-rigged visor. I shall miss both the character and actress here.

STRAIGHT-UP STIRRING! I remember it from the movie "Captain form Castile" as a kid and also from USC football games. But nothing prepared me for the first time I heard it at the pregame on campus before my first football game as a student. Every home game, The Spirit of Troy marches to the fronts of Bovard and the Doheny Library and plays Fanfare/Conquest/Fight On after which everyone follows them into the Coliseum for the start of the game. It was captivating, stirring and mindblowing on every level then and still is when I return 'HOME' to USC for a game! FIGHT ON FOREVER!!
