Egypt was ruled for more than two millennia by none Egyptians who happened to be of white or light skinned races and this may explain their fascination with blond hair, blue eyes etc. But since the revolution of July 23rd -1952 the country has two presidents. who were half Sudanese. I would say there is no racism in Egypt, but some bridges toward dark skinned people exist, after all this is a region of contradiction, where some of upscale restaurants do not let in women wearing hijab

And the Egyptian history and civilization was actually Middle Eastern since Middle Eastern people in ancient times went and conquered Egypt and North Africa. And they were the ones who created Egyptian civilization. So, North African and Egyptian civilization is not African and has nothing to do with African people.

Most North Africans including Egyptians are NOT Africans and are not blood related to Africans. The Moroccans, Algerians, Tunisians, and Egyptians with olive skin and white skin are not Africans but Middle Eastern people who came from ancient Middle East and settled in North Africa. So of course they will not call themselves Africans.

What people don’t realize is Egyptians now are descendant of the Ptolemaic era more so Greek mixture after hundreds of years and before that, Egyptians always fought the Nubians and in the hyroglphs you see Egyptians conquer the Nubians, they don’t like them they have a long history plus all around Egypt was they’ve been wanting to be their own thing since before king tut. It’s crazy how those views have trickled down to what it’s now still…
