Taxi driver in Coatbridge now the last he picked me up. I was walking home from a night out , held out my hand and Gerry stopped to pick me up . I was kinda shocked. I recognised him straight away, not sure now if he’s still taxing. That was ten years ago

I missed that game,had to fly to a job in Holland that day,as soon as through customs i found a payphone and got the details!seen it the week after when a guy brought a video recording of it back from his trip home and got it played in a local pub one morning after nightshift💚🍀

My Father was at the game and i remember when i was young and right up until his death in 1996 he name the players and it would just roll off his tongue the older generation could do that i will never forget my father Patrick 🇮🇪☘🍀

For me , Willie Fernie was the class act in that Celtic side . Very clever player who would have easily fitted in with the Lisbon Lions , imo .

If memory serves, Dukla were the Czech army side and a good team. Celtic could hold their own with anyone as they proved against the aristocrats of Inter.

Dukla Prague were a big team back then but so too were Celtic, Ajax, Feyenoord, Benfica, Anderlecht, Standard Leige, Red Star Belgrade, Steaua Bucarest, Basel etc etc. Notice anything about that list? They all come from small nations before money corrupted football based on national tv populations!
