I dont want to sound like a broken record, but this is just excellent. The choice of when to use colours, the red creeping in, the gradual dawn of realisation of L captured so well, and the absolutely phenomenal ✨️cinematography✨️, this is genuinely fantastic. One of my favourite animatics, please keep up the amazing work!

This is so beautiful oh my god. Thank you for fueling my death note brain, your art style is incredible, I love how this follows the musical!! Also, not sure if it’s intentional but I noticed that when we first see light, there’s this bright shining behind him faintly, made me view him as “holy” for a moment. This is phenomenal! I like the background moving around L to demonstrate his feelings of just acting in a play and that you used the musical’s ending and how Light pressed himself into the gun daring L to kill him but ultimately directed the gun back to L’s head and also Ryuk standing behind Light! Thanks for making and posting this animatic!
