I'm ' paleovore ' ,mostly, whereby my meat is from nutritious beef hearts (paleo) ,plus some wild caught fish and eggs (carnivore).

Carnivores go on and on that our ancestors ate carnivore. But: When did our ancestors start making fires?
@cherylreiter2107Ай бұрын
I predict within a year, if you stay on raw meat diet, you will be growing a beard! I’m a 70 year old female. After being carnivore for three weeks, the thought came to me, eat raw. It’s great! Before carnivore, I was vegan, no processed food. I lost a lot of muscle mass and became fat, sick, and weak.

I assume she means 400g of protein, not 400g of meat. It's important to clarify these things. I'd die of starvating on 400g of meat.
@janeckatomАй бұрын
After watching many of her interviews, I can confirm she means 400g of total food, not protein. It does seem like way too little. I think she puts more emphasis on hitting the fat:protein ratio than the amount tho and you are able to play with the amount according to your needs while keeping the ratio. She recommends watching blood glucose response after a meal to find out whether you are eating too much protein. I think if you slowly work up (or down in this case) to the small amount of food, it can be done. Whether you can sustain it for the long term is another question. Depends on your goals.

I've tried this and it really works. On a keto diet and my total cholesterol was 248. Followed this protocol with the high influx of carbs as suggested(timing/amount) and it went down to a total of 178!! CRAZY!!!!

@@Stovetopcookie Severe IBS, ulsers and annoying hemroids. I also had severe gout and couldn´t even walk. been at the hospital several times caughing blood and with bleeding diahrea. No bleeding anywhere for 8 mnds now and I´m on the toilet 3-4 times a week. Before I was on the toilet 10-15 times a day with a mess every time. Now it´s like clockwork and smooth and easy every time. I´ve been fully carnivore for about 2,5 years and I´ve been on ONLY red, fatty meat, salt and water for the last 8 mnds (about 80% raw). Healing takes time and I´ve had to be patient and use a little disipline, but it´s completely worth it and it gets very easy once your body is adapted. I have taken electrolytes for the last couple of weeks. Long answer here but I could write a book on all the health problems I´ve put in remission with the carnivore way of life.

@@Kenshinbtt It took me 5 mnds with ONLY red, fatty meat(about 80% raw), salt and water before I saw significant change. Rectal bleeding stopped after about a week ot two and my diareha stopped after 5 months. I also eat bonemarrow from cows when I feel that the meat is too lean. I eat cooked liver about once a month.

31:24 I disagree, the meat doesn't have enough sodium, most of it was in the blood which was drained. You should use salt.

Yes, that's how it goes. Essential fatty acids as Omega 3 are heat sensitive and they oxidize over 100 degree celcius. It's probably your body telling you to not destroy what's crucial for your brain. Also raw ruminant fat is so delicious

He's wrong about salt. You need salt on carnivore diet because salt is not stored in the flesh, it's in blood and serum. Meat doesn't have enough salt because after they slaughter the animal they leave it to bleed and after that it also losses fluids before it reaches butcher store. Actually you need some calcium too because it's in the blood too.

So what she is saying is that to maximize the benefit and the success rate can only be achieved by using the animal based fats only. Though you can measure your ketones and be in ketosis by using dairy fats and plant oils like coconut oils. Interesting. So would beef tallow would be a better choice for increasing fats in your diet. I guess one needs to see the results for themselves if they can be free of the side effects she talks about. So vegetarians would have some difficulty in doing this.

Felt pretty good doing carnivore the last few months. But coming to raw, the most intense changes have been such an increase in sleep quality and overnight HRV (I wear a Garmin to track these). I mean the biofeedback in numbers is incredible. Haven’t even mentioned how I FEEL. Waking up is so incredibly easy. I feel nearly euphoric through the day. On carnivore I always had donut/cookie binges every 10-14 days. That’s all I could last. But on raw, idk how or why….the thought has not even crossed my mind. My skin is crazy clear and even. I’ve dropped puffiness everywhere. So so awesome. Continuing. Yay raw meat raw salmon runny raw egg yolks.

This is literally my story I’m suspecting as well. Especially the binge part every 2 weeks or so and thinking that rarer meat makes me feel so much better (and raw eggs over cooked). I think raw just might be the way and I’m amazed

Sorry, I had a problem sending my last comment so apologies, if you've received a duplicate. Thank you both for a great interview and fantastic information. I now feel I know what caused my MS. I live in London and in my 20s, was training for Gaelic Sports 4 evening's a week, playing 2 matches at wkends, partying untold amts, never drinking plain water or having salt and drinking 5 coffee's a day at work. In my 30s, when I was pregnant, I was advised to avoid salt and my boys were born dangerously premature and I developed MS. I'm 55 atm, can't stand or walk more than 3 steps unaided and suffer severe heat and pain every day. I think Dr James DiNicolantonio has just named the cure for MS and a host of neurological diseases !! From the bottom of my heart, I thank you both... thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Well...let me tell you about my wife. She had two CAC scores over a ten year period which were ZERO ! She had a great lipid panel. She had a massive heart attack July 21 2023. Her coronary arteries were friable and had to have double bypass surgery. She had recovered from COVID in early June which did effect her lungs. No history of heart disease. Prior to the COVID shut downs she worked out at a gym 3 times per week.
