Safety Tip: Fire extinguishers should ALWAYS be buried under a bunch of other shit - not standing upright but secured. Good job here!

Officials need to stand the extinguisher up and mount it to a quick release so it's always easy to grab, and the driver needs to do more practice getting out of the car in a hurry.

I was there that night 7 rows behind flag stand was scary . Thank you for sharing this used to have vhs copy of that night and lost it moving. Sad thing is the track opened back up and a car went thru the fence again luckily no serious injuries

I was there too. We always sat up at the top of turn 1 but that night was there with a brother and I sat in the grandstands about halfway up to the right of the flagger. Never again. I own a race track in Idaho now. I use this night as an example to stay off the safety fence.
