For the dread on the right, where is the brass/gold thing from on the torso? Thanks!

It's from the old Forgeworld Etched-brass kits for the Minotaurs chapter. They used to do them for all sorts of chapters. Sadly they're very hard to come by now but eBay is your best bet.

Can this be fitted to the new HH Leman Russ tanks?
@Beyondthetabletop15 күн бұрын
Hi there, I haven't personally tried it out. It should work, though you might need to take a few extra steps in terms of the positioning of the hole and cutting out some extra detail on the side of the tank to ensure the frame sits flush against the tank. I recently updated the shop page with the dimensions needed for the hole so you can do this.
@habibishapurАй бұрын
Are your hands massive? Or is that model considerably smaller than a standard russ?
@Beyondthetabletop29 күн бұрын
The Mars-alpha is actually bigger than the standard plastic kit as it's longer in the back. So maybe big hands? Or some kind of optical illusion with the camera lens.

I love this colour how did you paint? Blue tone grey
@Beyondthetabletop29 күн бұрын
Check out the painting guide for the storm chimera on my channel, that details how I painted it in detail (Eshin grey, Skavenblight Dinge followed by Dawnstone). I've then done an oil wash which gives it a slightly blue tinge under a certain light. I've detailed that process in it's own video too.

Thanks for the kind words. While i'm not active currently the channel is more on hiatus than gone for good. Most of my free time is spent on the Look Out, Sir podcast. But I'm hoping to upload some more videos towards the end of the year when I get time to edit the content i've recorded. However my release schedule will always likely be sporadic.

Will the heat melt the paint off a 3d print? I have long wands made from 3d resin that started bending after cure and painting
@Beyondthetabletop4 ай бұрын
Usually for normal resin, you can get away with bending the mini to an extent, the paint wont melt but could crack if it's an extreme bend, a small bend is usually fine. From what I've heard about 3D print resin, they are very brittle and the resin cracks when heated and bent as they don't have the same solid structure as regular resin cast minis, I've no experience in this myself so it may vary from printer/resin.

Very nice! Could you explain how you did the oil wash please? Washed all over and the wiped, or painted the wash more carefully? If so, then how? 😊
@Beyondthetabletop5 ай бұрын
I don't do the cotton bud wipe method, but more of a pin wash, followed by applying dots of oil which are then streaked downwards with a brush. This video goes into it in detail. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aaHLep57gsykbqssi=MdrZb3Gc099UaUhC

Possibly but i'm not sure. I'm pretty sure 3D printer resin is brittle and can't bend like this but UV resin may work. It's not something i've ever tried though.

What the length of the eliminator Cannon and tyrant cannon for scratch build
@Beyondthetabletop Жыл бұрын
Hi there, the kit sizes are listed under the Additional Information tab on the product page. The Eliminator cannon (beyondthetabletop.com/product/eliminator-cannon/) is 9.7cm which could be extended further by adding on a muzzle brake. The Tyrant cannon (beyondthetabletop.com/product/tyrant-cannon/) is 4.3cm long. Hope that helps.

I have a part where 2 gun barrels are supposed to be straight and parallel with each other. One of the barrels is slightly bent 'away' from the other barrel. The problem is, they're only supposed to be half a milimeter apart, so I can't exactly bend it 'the other way' because the other barrel is blocking it. Any advice? Thank you, by the way.
@Beyondthetabletop Жыл бұрын
Can you use a knife to get into the gap and bend it in the right direction? or possibly apply pressure from the end of the barrel. It might be a matter of trial and error to see what works. Without seeing the mini in questions it's hard to give any more detailed advise.
