Excellent Windsurfing action and every time I watch it I always wish that it was me riding the waves and performing those actions in my lifelong favourite hobby and sport.

Old video but the tips still work. Been trying to improve my onshore frontside rides, and find what shown here helps. Modern boards help too, as they both work better at slower speeds and help you keep your speed up on various parts of the wave.

The thing that always annoys me about this video is that it's 95% port tack - and the entirety of uk south coast sailing is almost always starboard tack. It's really hard to find any footage of starboard tack wave sailing

I watched it with a mirror, then eventually edited in video software to flip the video ;-)

@@Juan_lauda I'm confused. Most of the clips in this video are on starboard tack?

Can be done way easier. Remove the screw from the batten cap. Remove the batten trough the batten cap. Batten is removed, batten cap stays in the sail.

Not if there is a batten tip on the batten!

Nice video. Are you happy now with your camera, would you recommend it to others?
@johnvu17398 жыл бұрын
+Dinger1981 Definitely recommended. Nice I can use GoPro accessories on it. I have made more videos since and they have been very nice. Stabilization is good, pictures are good. Only problem I have is when used as a dashcam it's choppy but that might be due to settings

The stiffer the better for carving, the Rulers are fairly still. Stiff bindings also helps.

@fathomfathom Hi. Are the boots (Burton Ruler?!) stiff boots? Are they good for softboot carving?

@fathomfathom Great, I imagine you removed the dagger too. Thanks for your help.
@fathomfathom14 жыл бұрын
@lucergui It takes either a regular or deep Tuttle box fin. Get a good racing fin on it and it becomes a MUCH faster board. I put 60cm on mine but you can go to the standard 70cm fin.
@guillermoLuceroGHL14 жыл бұрын
Good video, can you help me how did you change the fin for this board. I have one but the fin is "nova" 40 cms, which one is suitable? Thanks !
@fathomfathom14 жыл бұрын
@andybon17 I'm only 130lbs, years and years of light wind techniques (pump the sail and pump the fin, time it like a dance while surfing the little swell there is), 60cm racing fin and the Sailworks Retro 8.0 when set with min downhaul/outhaul is a very powerful yet light sail. Hope that helps.
