At the age of nearly 76, I can't remember having one let alone two or more friends. That said, I'll admit to having met and to various degree far less than what would be referred to as a friend, thousand's of what is referred to as aquaintences. Just because one may walk the same path as someone eles. It will alway's consit of them to a degree, slightly behind, slightly ahead even when along side. No two of us walk the same exact path. Thus causing one to realize what or who they belive was their best friend to become somthing other. If and when the best friend for buy one reason or another alter's their path in even the slightest way differ. There are those in which when "RESPECT" is mandate to be earned. Whom I respect more than other's. But realizing that NOTHING is the only thing that will last forever, realize the even as close as we may walk the same path. One of us is and alway's will be ever so slightly considered being slightly ahead or slightly behind us.

Relationships are the architecture of your life, shaping your peace, well-being, and virtue. Stoicism teaches us to see the cracks-abuse, distrust, manipulation, or disregard for our needs-and offers us the courage and wisdom to repair or remove unstable elements, protecting the sanctity of our inner tranquility.

While cutting contact might be necessary in some cases, doesn’t Stoicism also encourage us to practice patience and understanding with others?
@onestoicusa
@onestoicusa Ай бұрын
Yes, Stoicism encourages patience and understanding, but also teaches us to protect our peace. Setting boundaries is sometimes necessary to maintain our well-being, even while practicing compassion.

I'm living all of them now with my wife. She has been doing this for a few years now. And I'm done were separated now. She calls or texts every pay day wanting money or going off on me how I'm putting her and her kids in the streets. Once I send her money I don't here from her for the rest of the week. But Friday here she is again.

That's a powerful mindset! It shows strength and resilience to remain true to yourself, even when others don't acknowledge your thoughts. Smiling and staying focused on your own path, like the clear shine of the sun, is a beautiful way to maintain inner peace and clarity. Keep shining! 🌞
