Owner of a smaller shop here. We have time to talk details, I promise. The numbers are different because smaller shops tend to be more honest with customers about options and do not force technicians to sell new systems and unnecessary add ons in order to make a decent wage. The bigger HVAC businesses don't even train real technicians anymore. They train salespeople and installers. Thats the reason they are big. They sell, sell, and sell! Smaller businesses tend to go the extra mile and provide better customer service even though they may not have the best advertising campaigns or flashiest trucks. You're just a number to the bigger guys, which seems to go for any sort of business in these times. Every big company I can think of regardless of what type only concern is their bottom line.

So what happens if I have refrigerant migration into the oil. Is that oil gonna go boom boom when it's heated to brazing temp?
@coldfinger459sub0Ай бұрын
Cannot have go boom if you don’t have air inside there. I’m supposedly already recovered it out negative Vacuum. And you purged it with nitrogen so there’s nothing for an oxygen source.

We have already adapted by taking your ‘sticker shock’ and ramming it up your collective rears. We live in a dry heat… this past weeks heat wave was brutal (115 degrees) for our AC sucking neighbors that average 1200 kWh a month keeping their homes habitable. We don’t use AC though and a whole house fan blows out warm air and drafts cool morning air into our home. Our hottest indoor day was 85 average. We use ceiling fans and acclimated ourselves to energy financial freedom while living in a single family home neighborhood. And we didn’t buy into the solar scam either.

Go ahead and keep raising prices... The people (victims) you call your customers will adapt - in ways you probably won't like, auto industry anyone? 🤔🤣

What a bunch of crap from the industry, we already swapped out refrigerant to save the planet now you're telling us we need to swap out again. Why don't we just go back to R-12 and quit ripping the consumer off. The planet will be fine, with all the natural disasters who do you think is really in charge?

Im watching your webinar on a2l now. You guys are getting rich on a bunch of contradiction lies. First of all i call BS on the mildly flammability . Its either flammable or non flammable period. Second of all its not the same as the 2010 change to R410a .. because the industry wasnt robbed by an overpriced replacement refrigerant. Also whos gonna pay for all these special tools?? I work for a not for profit college. There certainly not gonna pay. Always the little guy who gets screwed.
@jeffweber83715 ай бұрын
In the commercial field we have to crawl climb into all types of confined areas..last thing i want in there is a flammable product. If its so harmless why do we need spark free tools?? Again BS!

NO GEN Z 😱 Just joking , kind of 🤔 80,000 to 100,000 short entering the field . More like 200,000 even being confidently skilled from trades school out of middle school through junior high experience lacking . Since the majority starting 40+ years ago, have slowly eliminated trade schools out of the curriculum . Those who graduate are not even skilled to be qualified as candidates to hire into the trades in the first place . Especially California one of the worst school systems in the nation. And probably the number one worst at starting children off in sixth grade introduction into the trades of woodshop auto shop ,Electronics lab , metal shop. It’s not the fault of the children graduating from high schools were completely technically incompetent . It was the generation of politicians, especially here in California, who all approved the bill to defund the public school system from having trades related education removed from the curriculum .

Ridiculous. They want to ban and replace HFCs such as R134A with butane which is highly explosive. HFCs replaced ozone depleting CFCs 40 years ago, and do not harm the Ozone Layer, but wackos found out it's a greenhouse gas, so it may do some harm if your fridge leaks. Boo-hoo. Such leaks are negligible. The whole climate change hysteria.

Anything the republicans want to do is not beneficial to humans. HVAC dolts like to recover refrigerant, that's fine! Frying the filter that protects the surface of Earth from being fried so that even microbial life is cooked will mean that nothing can grow. Of course teaching that to the anti-science right leaning politicians and their god-worshipping supporters is an impossibility "cuz da gawd gunna save us!"

Not gonna lie, the temperature clamps storing on the back of the manifold kinda ruins it for me. I'm looking to replace my two sets of Foeldpiece SM480Vs, mainly because I don't feel like I can trust them, but I do like the way the clamps store when not being used. 🤷♂️ At least they're out of the way.
