Bit late but here are my thoughts: 1) When connecting with Bluetooth to your car for audio, volume on your device MUST be at 100%.you adjust audio volume with your car (media buttons on your steering wheel) not on your device. Seeing the volume at 100% on your device gives you a wider range of volume to work with on your car without having to fiddle with your device. 2) Using an iPad for this is the most expensive and stupid option. - Your iPad would need cellular with its own data plan for the most seamless experience and the iPad itself is expensive to begin with. - You also can't leave the iPad in your car ever unless you like buying a new car window and a iPad everytime you drive somewhere (I'm talking about thieves). This all just creates more work and inconvenience than it's worth. -There are hackier ways to do this that work just as well if not better for literally a fifth of the cost. -- You can buy a car play dingle for 50 bucks and a 10inch fire tablet for another 120 and a 20 dollar mount and get apple car play that just connects to your phone and because it's cheap with no additional data plan required you can just leave it in your car. -- You can buy a nice android tablet for half the cost of an iPad and get the same exact experience at least for half the cost. -- You can buy an entire aftermarket radio system for half the cost of an iPad and get apple car play. There are a number of better options than this.

I have a question in this solution, how can I manage the phone calls. Let say we use bluetooth to pair car with Ipad, when I receive call on my phone how can I use ipad to make call and receive the calls. Can you please help me. Thank you very much

Problem 1: Hungry people might break the window steal the iPad and eat it Problem 2: That case is so expensive I will not be able to cut that, even if I do I will ruin it

Don’t need Bluetooth can have aux with charger solution. Does need to always be plugged in now.

OMG! i’ve been using my ipad in car exactly the same for half a years too! it’s so nice to see someone actually doin the same❤ but your mount is definitely more convenient, i use a spring clamp kinda mount but it works the same

Cool solution, though I'm a bit turned off by the 5G requirement for navigation performance. Any idea if tethering to your phone would be an adequate alternative, or is native cellular really going to be that much better?
