heeey, nice content! thanks a lot, really helpfull. It has been happening to me lately that many times the client doesn't know what to answer or answers anything just to get out of the way... For example, when I ask them which are their main competitors or the brands that are a reference for them, they are really blank or maybe they know but don't have relevant information. Let's agree that this happens with small or medium clients in some cases, because big companies really have all this information and departments that handle it. Here's my question and by way of debate: Do you ask for this information in advance to get to the discovery session to discuss it? is it ideal to do so? maybe this could take away from the expontaneous and the client might overthink things...How do you handle the situation in case they are blank, respond too superficially or don't have the information?

do you believe in leveraging debt when you run an agency? Chris Do in a video 9 years ago said, its nice to have while you get your clients to pay you, leverage etc. But times have changed and I would love to hear your thoughts in todays age where there are so many tools for low/no cost.
@ButlerBranding2 ай бұрын
@@MarchedYeti96 I am a big fan of staying out of debt as long as possible. However, good debt can be good. Bad that is always bad. Good debt, makes you money. Bad debt only costs you money. It’s much easier today to start a business, especially an agency, with not that much capital. You can always grow and scale from there. However, if you have a consistent stream of expected revenue sometimes good debt can help you grow and expand. Also, if you are disciplined, you can use credit cards as a way to pay all of your bills, and then pay them off every month, and it builds you up business points and you can use those points for your business as well, to pay for things like travel, expenses, etc.

Regarding your desk, consider hiring a contractor to custom build your desk. Productivity and efficiency will be worth the price. It is just like choosing a website template vs. a custom-built website. Custom-built is always superior. I'm a self-taught carpenter, and I find myself in frequent situations where I have to actually design and build the thing I need because what I need just doesn't exist in the marketplace. If I settle to find something like it, it will not perform the task 100% to my satisfaction. That is when I make the decision to start drawing up blueprints, building a budget, and start building the thing I need to fulfill the task. Hire a contractor. Trust me, it will be worth it. And if you find a good contractor, you can even strike a deal with him to market his business if he builds you a custom desk. Just tell him what your needs are, and he'll draw up plans, and you can pick which design is best. But you don't need to stop there. The contractor can even design the perfect productivity office space for you. Explore you options.

Interesting point in it! Instead of trying to find a tool that fits all it’s probably better to have several tools to do what they’re best at. My question would be about how Trello and TeamGant work together so you don’t have to enter same information multiple times.

I offer photo/video to small businesses…. But what do you do when you know that’s not going to be enough to grown engagement on their page? They will clearly have to put in work on social side… but that could have a negative impact of the the effectiveness of my work at the same time. I REALLY don’t want to and can’t offer social media management, because I plan to be pro bono for the first couple of months… at least.
@ButlerBranding4 ай бұрын
@@georgealexender as a photographer and videographer, it’s totally fine to stay in your lane and offer exactly that. You don’t have to own the pressure of increasing engagement or KPI’s because that’s not what you’re offering. You’re offering excellent creative work, beautiful photos, and videos that have your creative stamp of approval.

I have a question. For every design task, if the client gives feedback and we don't incorporate it right away then most of the tasks will be incomplete and left unattended. Should we move it to "Done"? It might frustrate the client that we are not finishing one task completely. Can you please elaborate more on what should we do in this situation?
@ButlerBranding4 ай бұрын
@@hamzajamal2047 you only present work to the client when it’s ready for feedback and revision. If work is presented prematurely, and the client will provide feedback on what is shown to them. So you show them what is ready to be delivered. And then count that as ready for revision.
