I think you and Logan may be related. I have cousins that are Mertes from Grand Rapids.

A few of his best goals were against the yuro stars. They are at the higher end of 2011 AAA teams in MN. Not as good as the blades or pro hybrid, but certainly not pushovers.

@@stevesutherland6684 I see, if he was just faster, I would say hed be really good, I have always been on all hands team, but once I start playing higher up in 16U Tier leagues, speed is required no matter what, the kids good, just need some speed imo

Yep, speed kills. Kid is plenty fast, keeping in mind these kids are 11. Don’t notice any kids catching up to him anywhere in the video, and part of why he can do what he does is because he’s going faster than most kids his age can handle. He’s a fantastic player, and really fun to watch. IMO, the biggest thing he needs to work on is what isn’t seen in the video. For each clip of him scoring a crazy hero goal, there are some where he tries to do too much himself and could pass and make a better play. But as far as I can tell, this is his first year of being on a team that has several other players of his caliber, and playing against high end AAA or elite level teams. He’ll figure that part out, but probably not until more kids can stop him and he’s forced to play a bit differently to be successful. My son used to play against him regularly. Used to be a rival, the kid you knew had to be given special attention to shutting them down. Been a blast seeing them on the same team this year.
