Yes, 1977 model year, and a late production one at that. We got the VIN, we win: T for GMC, C for 2WD conventional chassis, L for 350 CID V8 with four barrel, 2 for 3/4-ton rated, 4 for cab and pickup box, 7 for 1977 model year, S for St. Louis, MO assembly and the rest is the production sequence. The St. Louis MO plant which in 1977 would assemble Corvettes as well closed in 1986. After Corvette production moved from St. Louis MO to Bowling Green KY (where it still is today), the St. Louis plant mostly assembled trucks. Possible code 71 Red and code 12 White two-two exterior paint (originally).

Tyres here, must be separated, the same with taken batteries out, take all the fluids, gas or diesel, oil out, remove cats, radios, airco systems and radiators, some parts resuable and then go to the crusher and shredder. So like on your places we don't need to check for batteries at that stage, i know you work on different places but still.... other thing is keep your chain not to loose of your loader. And we are not allowed to work on just sand, all must be done on special beton to prevent oil and other fluids enter the soil/ground. After our shredder, all goes on conveyor belts that sorts all types of materials out straight away. Daily lots of full containers leave the premises. And on the other site cars, other metals, fridges and so on, is another separated belt, just like the tires.

Most junkyards over here, crush and shred about 400 till 500 cars in one shift.
