HOLY SHIT! I play this game almost everyday, I achieved the Platinum Trophy and never saw the xenomorph attack on this part! Other part he attacks you, is after Axel's death, if you make noise while you wait the transport he can drop out of the vent too....

I've had this happen to me before. Is your VSYNC enabled in the game video settings? If not, turn it on, it helps the engine deal with scripted scenes and player ready times.

Ok, I'll be honest - now I am becoming convinced it is doing that on purpose. That is the wildest way I've seen Alien behave in this Mission, which is notorious for Alien being extra vary of you traveling through vents and really quick on going into them after you, especially on Nightmare. So it just avoiding going after you into them even after it's seen you climb in one, only to pop out of the other side is just extremely wild and unorthodox And awesome. WHY CAN'T THAT HAPPEN TO ME!? I WANT WILD ALIEN BEHAVIOR STUFF LIKE THIS AS WELL!

Genuinely struggle to tell whether that was intentional flanking bamboozle maneuver by the Alien or just a fortunate way (for the Alien) that its pathing bugged out lol. Either way it sure as heck made it look like the biggest brain strat on the Alien's part

You entered the reception too soon, while it was still walking in the corridor. 😊 The way it plays here is that the player sees a glimpse of it and stops, leaving it time to go through the vent in the corridor's ceiling, then entering the room and resume playing, which makes this place very unlikely to get attacked in unless you do something bold. Namely, you went straight in while it was close and it heard your footsteps. 😅

Yep, ...every damn time! I actually have to throw a flare in the opposite direction that I want to go - JUST so i can actually cut open these damn doors! (If you can leave an explosive under that vent behind you - put in on the far side away from where you will be, so you take minimal damage) - it will make the Alien FLEE so you can proceed.

I learnt one thing very early on in the game; just don't run. I crouched most of my game out of nervousness. I otherwise don't have enough brown trousers to swap out of for the entire game.

The flamethrower still works even if you have used it a lot, but it just requires a more sustained blast, therefore using more fuel.

lol the revolver is pretty much a trap. it is useless against the alien, and firing it will bring the alien to you within seconds

Happened to me as well. It gets used to flamethrower after a while and requires several bursts to scare. In the other case it will keep some distance and slowly approach the player until it can leap at the player. Nice design imo.

And he's pissed after being trapped just like you'd expect him to be. Of course, he's pissed all the time anyway. Alien needs some Xanax.
