Thanks, I've got circa 800 hours as a Pilot Assistant on Doms. As a flight engineer by trade it was nice to be able to land the aircraft gently and then look at the skipper with THAT look . . . lots of fun.

Saltburn was a Victorian seaside retreat for many well to do persons, most famously "Teddy" AKA Edward Vii. It had a brine baths very close to the station and an exclusive platform for VIPs to enter the best hotel. Saltburn was the last extension to the very first steam loco hauled railway in the world. I have a house only 200 yards from the station.

Finsbury Park depot in the good old days, I remember being in the shed there one weeked with a few Class 55 Deltics in the late 79' one was named the " The Black Watch" & "MELD" with White window surrounds, I have a few photo's & a note-book with numbers in, In the late 70 early 80's London on a weekend you could cover 3-4 depots easy during a day & see everything on shed as them days if you asked the Foreman for permission you had a 99% chance of getting around them.

Looked good there. Thanks for posting. It's a long time since I've been to Sleaford. Couldn't help thinking that it looked as if it was coming through a meadow as it approached the station on the outward journey. Sadly not the only place you could say that nowadays.

I was at Donny works then too. Was a sad sight because I knew where those locos were going to end up. Look at the variety then to what it is today.

I was there at this magic event, sad in someways as we didnt know how many were going to be saved, but so nice to see a lot of them and a few running, to keep that magic alive. What we could do today with mobies and cams now. However this a glimpse of the liking of the deltics and the fans saying a proper if teary goodbye.

Whoever recorded the video there and then, is the most luckiest person in the entire British Railway History Of Spotters. First the only Class 89 in the world and then a backwards moving 91, that is unbelievable luck.

Lovely film , but not 1965 , 5.29 shows rear end view of a vauxhall victor FD launched October 1967, 7.40 shows a mk 4 zephyr or zodiac launched 1966 , 11.45 shows a cortina mk2 estate launched february 1967, film may be made of more than one film . I'd say this film was shot summer 1968. We also get to see a flat windscreen Bristol RH single decker bus I believe these were launched in 1967.

Hi there,, I was analyzing your KZbin Channel (ThePicturedrome). you are struggling with subscribers and video views for your KZbin channel ranking. But, your channel is in big trouble at this moment. Your content is so good & you are uploading vlog related content. But I noticed that your video SEO and channel SMO score has dropped and Your video doesn't have good tags and description. That's why you are not getting lots of views and engagement in every video as much as your dream. If you look at other successful youtubers, you can see that everyone do SEO & Optimization for their video. You have already uploaded 3.1k videos but it’s not working to grow your channel and you are not getting many subscribers. Because your channel optimization & tags are not correct.

As far as I know they should be back in the summer this year. We need them in the week to be honest. As a local in skegness who travels to Nottingham twice a week on the train for work it’s a right pain in the summer, sometimes I end up on the floor for a 2.5 hour journey because it’s full of tourists with families.
