Yes, I think the reason Edison discs stay pristine is that they haven't had dull steel needles playing them out over the years like 78s have! Plus the harder surface. Our newish CDs won't last a hundred years, I'll wager a bet! Edison discs will even outlast them! 😆

I have wondered the same. I'm not sure they are. I've not found anything regarding it. Very same style though. The song on the flip side of this record, "You're Gwine To Get Somethin' What You Don't Expect", was co-written by Bert Williams. I've always liked him.

This is another fine reproduction of an ancient record. It's like new. Vernon Dalhart is a favorite of mine and his vocals couldn't sound better.
