Hello po, there’s no difference between cooking in the MP1 (the small basket) or the MP5. We use the MP1 so that we can cook more rice without having to wash the MP5 again. The paper towel is used to prevent the metal of the MP1 & MP5 from rubbing against each other and making a thumping noise but it doesn’t affect the cooking process. We hope this helps! 😊

Hello! The bowl/insert is our Saladmaster MP1 (or inset) and it’s typically used with the MP5 when cooking rice. Here’s a video explaining the inset in more detail: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5POnX2ni92ciJI However, you can use it as a regular bowl for salads or when cutting using your Saladmaster Food Processor😊
